松伏にある気まぐれダイニングḤalālさん。
Following someone's information, I learned that a Pakistani restaurant has opened in Matsufu, so I went there for lunch.
A restaurant located in a residential area, one block away from the main street.
(Rumba師匠、本当にありがとうございます♪)
Just 5 minutes before the restaurant opened, I arrived at the parking lot. The lights inside the store and the sign indicating “open” were already on. Since I was driving at high speed, it was a great opportunity to rest—even if it wasn’t exactly a proper rest.
Actually, I tried calling the day before, but there was no response. So I felt a bit worried.
・ビリヤニ ¥1000(税込)(オープン特価)
・マイリのマサラカレー ¥1000(税込)
(Open Special Price)
The menu is simply displayed on a whiteboard. For the curry, one can choose either naan or rice. Both options are not spicy. I ordered Biraji and Maire’s Masala Curry, sharing them with naan.
Thank you.
I carefully brought over the cup and saucer in both hands. So, why coffee? When I thought about it, I realized it was a soup made from beans.
They really have a quite stylish way of presenting things, don't they (^^)
Please stir it well before drinking, as the owner suggested.
On top of the soup, there is an abundance of black pepper. Once stirred, the beans are completely melted into the soup. The high viscosity of this soup is immediately felt when using a spoon.
Now, take a bite... Hmm!! The rich umami of the beans, and the pepper that hits right at the throat!!
Pakistan Bean Soup, delicious, isn’t it!!
It seems like a freebie included in the service, but since it's a paid item, I'd really prefer to get twice as much of it.
The Masala Curry from MaiRi, which is said to use original mix spices, features a gravy that fully showcases the sweetness of plenty of stir-fried onions. It's likely an unsalted curry.
We received it as it was, but it seems that those who wish for a stronger taste can also get a special sauce.
In a way typical of Pakistan, this dish has an oily texture, but it lacks the stubbornness of its flavor. The tender chicken is satisfying to eat.
The biryani, which was described as a bit spicy, uses mild spices and hardly any spice at all (compared to our standards). It uses boneless chicken, and similar to the curry mentioned earlier, it has a homey flavor that seems suitable for those who are not fond of strong spices.

1/24 Currently, PayPay wasn’t available yet, so I paid in cash. I was curious about their reactions—whether they wanted to talk or not. Throughout the meal, they kept observing our interactions from the counter side. At the end of the meal, I approached them and asked, “Japan is a long country, isn’t it? You speak Japanese very well.” They smiled and replied, “Oh, well…” Then they opened the door, and I left the restaurant in that state (laugh).
He was a quiet, shy owner who also had a bit of a tsundere trait (^^)
Thank you for your hospitality ♪
