After a while, I visited again and ordered shōgayaki, which I had been interested in for a while.
In the vicinity, there are only a few restaurants that serve lunch. Everyone comes here, so after 12 o’clock, the competition for seats becomes extremely fierce.
One of the secrets to its popularity is that there are no other restaurants nearby. Moreover, it offers a wide variety of traditional lunch options, and the prices are relatively affordable, averaging around 700 yen per item.
Even the Shōga Yaki set meal, although it has a decent amount of food, feels somewhat insufficient when considering my appetite (after all, I'm a big eater). However, the meat is tender and delicious. The rice, miso soup, and side dishes are all just right—a truly excellent lunch.
By the way, the "large rice" option costs 50 yen, so choosing this option is also good for your wallet.
Everywhere in the restaurant is adorned with menus of menjya, which are quite eye-catching. It's a place that makes me want to visit again and again. (I really wish I could eat okonomiyaki during lunch too.)

I ate a braised hamburger.
It was large, soft, and delicious!
This time, I was also satisfied with the portion size.
The atmosphere was still as good as ever, so I decided to upgrade my rating.

This is a lunch restaurant review. However, it's located a bit far from the station, making it somewhat difficult to access.
It stands completely within a residential area.
One day, after finishing lunch elsewhere, I was taking a walk after the meal and came across a sign for lunch.
The menu placed outside was reasonably priced, so I visited the restaurant the next day right away.
The lunch menu features fish as the main item, but there are also dishes like pork ginger-yaki.
Upon entering, there are about five tables with a total of four people at each table. Three of these tables are slightly raised above the ground.
There is no oily or dirty feeling typical of monjya-yaki restaurants. The interior is bright and clean.
As soon as I found a seat near the kitchen, a woman came to ask for my order.
It was a day that felt like a perfect day for sashimi, so I ordered a "Big Tuna Set Dinner" for 700 yen.
In less than 5 minutes, the set meal was served.
The rice is a bit small in size. It's unclear whether this is a standard setting or if women are considered to prefer a smaller portion as it's considered appropriate. The price for the larger portion is also unknown.
Men or those who want to eat a lot should order a large portion from the beginning.
The important makore is cut into slices that make one feel like they’ve truly tasted makore!
The side dishes in small bowls were also delicious, and the buffet-style pickles were a great addition.
In terms of volume, it feels like a reasonable price for the amount served. It’s not suitable for those who want to eat a lot (I don’t know about other menu items), but the atmosphere is good, and it was a fully satisfying lunch.
Although it’s located in a less noticeable place, it seems to be very popular. It’s inevitable that during lunchtime, there will be solo customers who have to share tables with others.
I really liked it, so I would definitely come back and try other dishes as well.
