A cold soy sauce dressing made from cold porridge, with ginger and ground sesame seeds.
The aroma of grilled sazab filled the air, and when combined with salted cucumbers, mizuage, and myoga, it created a truly delightful experience. It was like finding a paradise.

この海老ラー油まぜまぜは、玄米麺と海老ラー油が組み合わさった素晴らしい新作です。
We drizzle it with sauce and vinegar, then sprinkle on the specially prepared soy sauce oil. We mix them together and enjoy it.
This segment from Marumi's porridge comes with a variety of ingredients of high quality, filling and substantial.
Chicken and shrimp as well.
A dish that’s quite healthy and stimulates appetite. It’s really addictive (I ordered it twice). The mayonnaise and sesame oil are the key ingredients. The brown rice noodles have a texture similar to that of buckwheat noodles. I enjoyed it immensely.
This rice-gohma-salt omusubi features a blend of brown rice. I tried drizzling it with soy sauce, but it turned into something quite extraordinary—the bread actually moved away from the plate!
I couldn't resist the home-roasted coffee at Kōei Coffee. I really enjoy the delicious coffee and the leisurely pace of the time there.
And, I bought up all the Coffee Drip Bags from Lightly Coffee in the store.
Today too, it was delicious.

This dish uses brown rice from Uemipirika, produced in Kamikawa.

In Okohe Town, where dairy farming is thriving, the fermented butter has a wonderful aroma and a smooth texture. The dumplings are full of texture, and the red seaweed has done an excellent job in enhancing the flavor.
It's so delicious that you'll finish eating it in no time. The malmio original brown rice porridge has a crunchy texture, and it fits perfectly together with the other ingredients.
The side dishes consisting of 6 items vary according to the seasons. However, my favorite item is the leek and carrot lapa, which is part of the regular menu.
Today, I had a salad with my favorite shredded potatoes and tuna. I really wanted to have about 5 extra servings.
The fermented lemon green tea is my favorite menu item—it's a sweet and sour green tea.
Please rest assured, this green tea with sugar sold in America is not as sweet as those available here.

It's a flat brown rice cake about the size of one o-nigiri, which is coated with miso and then baked. It was a dessert with a salty flavor.
Well, it's brown rice miso onigiri.
This seems to be a masterpiece that will surely attract many fans.

Honkō Coffee has a stable taste.
This coffee is from "Kōeike Coffee", a home-roasted coffee shop that operates on a temporary basis every Sunday at Marumi-san.
The coffee is also incredibly delicious.
These black-colored fried cakes are my favorite menu item.
The texture of the fried cakes and the sweet black miso are simply outstanding.

I really wanted to try the traditional Japanese dish of "Shichigusa Jyōzō" during the New Year season, so I went to Marumi.

This year's Seven Grains Porridge features *hitoke* shellfish!?
It is said that expensive dried shellfish were cooked together with rice.
The seven seasonal herbs of Marumi are: celery, nuzuna (groundsel), gogyou (mother-and-child plant), hakobera, hotokenoza, susuna (cauliflower/Cabbage), and susushiro (radish).
Taking one's seat at the table
It has a really amazing fragrance.
Harusaki, seven kinds of herbs, miso broth, and the famous side dishes from Marumine... It seems to be a healthy dish that can help the body to reset.
Last year, the seven-leaf porridge was prepared by adding the broth myself. This year, it was cooked together in one pot.
Let's take a bite… no, I can't stop. The ginger also plays a role, giving a gentle flavor. However, the abalone is always beautifully intertwined with the dish.
What kind of porridge is this? The porridge prepared by Marumi-san is truly a feast for the senses—it's full of creativity, no matter what you eat.
Well, as soon as half of the porridge was swallowed down into my stomach, here comes our restaurant’s famous side dish.
The menu items do change quite significantly, but the flavor is so mild that it can even be compared to porridge.
The lettuce wrap with cumin seeds and carrots that appears frequently is my favorite.
Kumin has intestinal-regulating effects, and this carrot garnish is a masterpiece that even those who dislike carrots can enjoy.
The maple syrup shop "GAGNON" located in the mountain area offers maple syrup-based maple pudding as well. The pudding has a creamy texture and a natural sweetness that are truly outstanding.
Porridge? It’s already gone.
One after another, the customers arrived, and since they finished eating quickly, we had to leave our seats immediately to give way to others.
Since there was a notice indicating expected congestion, I made a reservation and went there.

Dear fans of deer-related dishes, it seems that the spicy deer meat soy milk porridge with a tofu base is now ready!
Near West 28th Street Station, this is a new dish by Marumi: porridge and nourishing foods.
That name is “Shikatan Tan”.
Ezo deer meat contains iron levels comparable to beef liver, making it particularly recommended for women.
Also, it has low fat content and is low in calories.
Well, Saitakan Tan Tan is a porridge based on soy milk.
In one bite, you can enjoy the spicy flavor. There's no need to worry about it being too spicy until you finish eating.
The porridge and soy milk dashi sauce are in separate layers, so you can enjoy the spiciness at your own pace.
The flavor of venison is rich and intense.
The processing seems to be done well; there is absolutely no smell, and what remains is simply deliciousness.
However, I thought it would be good to combine deer meat with soy milk tangara and porridge... I must bow down to Marumi-san's outstanding sense of taste.
I have never heard of a dish called "ジビエ粥".
It was absolutely delicious.
After eating, I enjoyed the favorite menu item: black misuki-style fried cakes, served with HOT coffee from Kōei Coffee.
