Revisiting Topkapı in Turkish cuisine. Located on the 8th floor of a building with a LOFT at Ginza 2-chome.
I felt something was off, but it turns out that until March this year, they had their restaurant in the International Building on Marunouchi. Apparently, due to the demolition of the building, they moved here. I see.
The interior design felt no different from last time, so I was satisfied with it at that moment and thought this was the right choice.
First, from Effes.
Soup made with red beans. It has a warm and spicy taste, making it delicious.
<Seasonal Vegetables in Mediterranean Style Marinated>
A variety of dishes, from Turkish cuisine to Mediterranean cuisine, are served here. I really enjoy making these dishes at home too.
From 12 o'clock, the menu items include Uspanak Talama (lettuce and yogurt), Fums (baby beans and ground sesame seeds), Azurezme (spicy vegetables and pistachios), Talama (carrots and potatoes), carrots, avocados, walnuts, and tea beans. Is this a original menu item?
This is black beer.
<Spaghetti and Mushroom Soup>
I have two options for meat dishes, but the next option is kebab, so I'll choose fish. It has a lemon and cilantro flavor.
<Beef Kyofté, Kuzu Shishi, Tavuk Shishi>
The meat served here is lamb, while tavuk is chicken. It is served on a skewer and the chef pulls it out right in front of you.
This is considered one of the three greatest cuisines in the world. Personally, I think it’s the best among them. It changes and evolves with each bite, making it a dish akin to “impressionism” in art.
This is also a dessert that I really love, but it has syrup added to it, making it overly sweet.

We went to Yurakucho to try Turkish cuisine.
It is said to be one of the three greatest cuisines in the world. Personally, I think it is the original and ultimate innovative cuisine. It could even be considered the strongest in the world. Unfortunately, even in Tokyo, there are only a few restaurants that serve authentic versions of this cuisine.
<Topkapı International Building>
This international building is constructed in conjunction with the Imperial Theater. As one can imagine from the name of the building, it was built nearly 60 years ago. Due to its deterioration, redevelopment is expected to begin next year.
On the right side, at the 4 o’clock position, there are chickpeas. Around the clockwise direction, there are spinach and yogurt, carrots and avocados, spicy vegetables and pistachios, tarama, potatoes (tarama), walnuts, and tea beans. In the center is a cold dish of radishes and olives.
Efes Beer has a market share of over 80% in Turkey. It's a hard-beer, but it has a refreshing taste and a slightly sweet flavor.
Mussel, eggplant, broccoli, and mushrooms stewed in a sauce. With strong spices added, and lemon included, it resembles tom yum more than a bean base dish.
Egg and tomato omelette. It contains peppers, onions, mushrooms, and other ingredients. It is flavored with a tomato and yogurt sauce called Iskendel. I really like to add various ingredients to the omelette, so I enjoyed it very much.
There are several tomatoes in this dish. They have a distinct shape, and they look clean and tidy. You can fully enjoy the umami of the shrimps in these tomatoes.
Dried grapes and anise liqueur. It seems to be a herbal liquor of the same type as Alarak that I drank in Dubai. When mixed with water, the anise’s oils precipitate, turning it milky white. It’s also known as “Lion’s Milk”.
<ケバブ>
Rum and chicken shishkebab, as well as beef kofte. Serve with butter rice. Each of these dishes is delicious in its own way, but personally, I feel that Turkish cuisine's depth lies more in the vegetarian dishes rather than the meat dishes.
In Turkey, it seems that the broth is prepared in advance and then adjusted to the desired thickness with water when serving.
I'm interested in the redevelopment of this building, but I hope we can return here in the future as soon as possible.
