February 2nd, the first night. For the traditional style of Ewa-mochi, we decided to order from "Nawa~to", a restaurant located nearby. As for the alternative option, we chose "Nawa~to" from the nearby Katsukuran restaurant.
This is a high-end Japanese restaurant. During lunchtime, it offers dishes that are both cost-effective and delicious, such as the "Ten-Don." It's a great place to enjoy quality cuisine at an affordable price.
This announcement has also been posted on Instagram.
Salmon and crab Enoshiki Rolls – Semi-fatty rolls, 2 pieces, 2,000 yen
Ham and crab enomikage – half-thick rolls, 2 pieces – 1,800 yen
Since it was a regular "Kei-Wa-Menki," I ordered ham this year.
The photo shows a Kama no Yume Maki made with ham.
This item is also beautifully packaged in a box, creating a sense of value and quality.
It’s extremely thick, and even when cut into smaller pieces, it’s impossible to eat in one bite.
Looks like you’re a bit chubby, huh? (Laughter)
Firmly wrapped in ham, it's unfortunate that the food may collapse when cut, which makes it difficult to photograph. However, it turned out to be a delicious and unique dish that truly lived up to expectations.
The reason why I don't feel a bit of vinegar-like taste is that there's an abundance of ingredients.
I was able to enjoy this meal again, and it was delicious.
The two Hebou Makis for the first night were, to my own surprise, a really good choice (laugh)
Thank you very much for your hospitality!!!

大约一年前,当时正值新冠疫情期间,这家高档料理店“錬”进行了午餐营业。这家店位于新地标“なはーと”的停车场对面的一条小巷里(就在“びいどろ”和“アジート”所在的街区)。
At that time, it only offered a limited-time lunch-only option: a Ten-Don for 1,100 yen. I was amazed by the quality and deliciousness of the dish, so I skipped over the reviews related to the food and posted my own review immediately (laughs).
Regarding such a wonderful Ten-Don, I would like you to read the reviews from that time. However, no matter how amazing it is, Nobuta has always adhered to the style of not frequently visiting the same restaurant. Therefore, I didn’t feel particularly motivated to visit Nobuta again.
Even so, I often walked in front of the restaurant. I knew that the lunch menu had added an option for “tempura and soba” for 1,400 yen. So, my only thought was to go there during those extremely cold winter months just to enjoy warm soba and delicious tempura.
And in mid-January, there were days when the weather inside the prefecture was extremely cold. It was also drizzling, and the wind made the actual body temperature drop to around 13 degrees Celsius (which is very cold in Okinawa). I had decided to go to “En” on such a day... So, I set up my plans for the morning and rushed off to the restaurant.
The interior of the restaurant is truly magnificent and beautiful. Just like last time I visited, the space is clean and inviting. The width of the L-shaped counter is ample, and the distance between seats is well-planned. The COVID-19 precautions are also impeccable. There are seven seats on the counter, but on this day, two of them were occupied by five people. The customers were elegant gentlemen who could enjoy drinks during lunchtime on a weekday. They were enjoying a fried dish menu for 5,500 yen.
Um, I really would like to enjoy delicious tempura cuisine while sipping Japanese sake on weekdays. (It's a bit of a regret to say this, but I really want to try the tempura course here. After all, rice cooked in earthenware pots is included in the menu.)
While feeling such things,
Tempeh and Oshiru (warm, cold) – 1,400 yen
I ordered it. Of course, it was the warm soba as expected.
First of all, I was impressed by the Tian Don last time.
Salad
It appeared along with a small dish of wasukuri yaki.
This salad truly delivers the value-for-money experience one would expect from a set meal that includes a 1,100 yen heavenly donburi and 1,400 yen fried chicken with soba noodles.
And, the fried chicken is absolutely outstanding.
Of course, it will take some time, but eight types of vegetable dishes are prepared one after another and served on plates.
All the vegetables are cut into thick pieces, making them delicious fried foods. They are served with lemon or salt. There is also a special soy sauce available, but it seems inappropriate to eat them with soy sauce, as the ingredients are already of excellent quality.
Next, three shrimp are served. Among the eight types of vegetables, the largest ones, such as onions, are cut into two pieces, resulting in a total of nine types and twelve pieces of fried vegetables.
And then, the warm wheat flour appeared in the first photo.
The bowl is the same as those used for ramen. It’s not a small bowl.
The broth is clear and delicious, with green onions and yuzu adding a touch of flavor. It's truly a refined and tasty bowl of soba noodles.
Having everything here,
1,400円
Yes.
As I mentioned in the previous review of the Tenjin, even if you were to eat it during lunch in Tokyo, you would not be able to afford such a high price.
I once again realize that things like this are what we call "ultra-efficient cost-performance."
この割烹料理は…本当に素晴らしいです。
If it weren’t for Okinawa, I think there would be a long queue forming.
Thank you very much for your hospitality. I was truly moved again!
Next, on a scorching summer day, enjoy soba (cold) along with tempura.

Another amazing restaurant for lunch has been discovered.
As usual, I’ll skip over nearly 30 reviews and get straight to posting the update. After all, I really want to be recognized by many people. It was simply amazing (laughs).
In February, Nobuta wandered around the area of Kumode 2-chome. There were various restaurants there that continued to serve customers even during the pandemic—a truly fortunate thing. On the other hand, the area south of Green Hill Park, around Makishi 1-chome (the area where “Bido-ro” and “Matsui” are located), was almost completely devoid of shops, making it a rather desolate place. Last week, while walking back from lunch, I noticed a menu board under the eaves of a restaurant with a very high-class appearance.
As if drawn towards by a strong attraction, I confirmed it.
Lunch-exclusive Ten-don for 1,000 yen (tax excluded)
11:30~14:00まで
And that's what it says.
The photos were taken in containers for takeout, but it seemed that they could also be used for in-house consumption. So, if I have the chance to eat lunch there soon, I plan to visit (..)φI've been keeping this in mind.
February 22nd, a Monday with two 2s in the date. On this day, since the children's school was closed and there was no bento at Nobuta, I headed to the restaurant right from the start, aiming for "Lunch Heaven Rice Pudding."
The name of the restaurant is "Ren" san.
A large warm screen adds to the charm, and the interior is a very clean and tidy space. Moreover, the counter-tables are truly remarkable. Inside, there are specialized equipment for serving tempura, making it clear that this is a genuine tempura restaurant. (That’s what I thought.)
There was only one customer.
The atmosphere is so pleasant, but why are there so few customers here? I wondered if they hadn’t advertised at all. With that thought in mind, I sat down at the counter, from where I could observe the process of frying the tempura.
By the way, upon entering the store, you can see that on the right side is a L-shaped counter space, and on the left side are private rooms. It's a quite spacious restaurant.
Compared to other fried food restaurants, this place offers a wide variety of cutting tools and a diverse selection of ingredients.
The ingredients for tempura are also excellent, and they are prepared in a very elaborate manner.
This is, quite frankly, a genuine fried chicken restaurant. (Even at this point, I thought it was just a fried chicken restaurant.)
Since I'm a little interested in the evening menu, I'll wait patiently while showing you the evening menu and discussing the dishes in detail. After all, there are only nobuta customers here, so this is actually my first time cooking with oil.
And when you look at the evening menu, there are various items besides tempura.
The course menu states that prices start at 10,000 yen. It was clear that this is not a simple fried food restaurant, but a high-class kaiseki restaurant (this is the first time such information was mentioned).
It seems like a lie that such a wonderful restaurant offers a Heavenly Rice Lunch for just 1,000 yen (tax-exclusive) (laughs).
The way the tempura is fried is absolutely exquisite. For someone who worked at the Tokyo headquarters until last year, Nobuta, this reminds me of the high-end tempura restaurants in Ginza and Kaminokōmachi.
Well, for the lunch special's tempura udon, first of all, a salad is served.
This is what constitutes the photo for this restaurant.
After receiving that, the oshincha, ten-don, and o-isshu were served.
That will be the first photo.
Up is here.
マ~、一品一品が本当に素晴らしいですよ。
Two large servings of shrimp dishes are presented elegantly, but the vegetable dish is truly outstanding and extremely delicious!
The sauce is sweet, with a Tokyo-like flavor.
Each order of fried food here is incredibly delicious... For just 1,000 yen? That seems like a lie.
It includes both a drink and a salad.
In that case, I really worry that we will suffer a loss every time we have lunch.
I spoke with the owner, and he said that they offer a menu costing 10,000 yen per course for dinner. I'm quite hopeful that the food will be really delicious tonight. My expectations are definitely going up now.
After paying at PayPay and leaving the restaurant, I checked the information about the place online. It seems that a tempura course for lunch costs 5,000 yen. Nobuta calmly said that if one eats a tempura dish in Tokyo, one is willing to pay around 2,000 yen. I felt a bit embarrassed thinking that the price must be even higher… (laugh)
However, to serve such an amazing Tensu-udon in a place in Naha with no traffic at all... It's so amazing that it might cause customers to line up.
It seems that you are referring to a restaurant review. Here is the translated text:
"Such delicious dishes can be enjoyed at a low price and without having to wait in line. Perhaps this is one of the advantages of Okinawa."
It was quite delicious.
Thank you very much for your hospitality!!!
