A Japanese-style restaurant named "Hashima", located about 7 to 8 minutes walk from Kyobashi Station.
The calm atmosphere within the restaurant is occupied by two customers.
After informing them of the reservation, they guided us to a private room, so we sat down together for three people.
On this day, I had reserved the course dish "Kagami" for ¥9,500 in advance. So, first, I ordered a drink: "Raw Beer (Super Dry)" for ¥680 to toast with. I drank the refreshing beer to soothe my throat.
Appetizers (cherry shrimp and ricotta, peas and pinto beans with egg, red crab and watercress soy sauce): First, three appetizers are served. The combination of cherry shrimp and ricotta creates a pleasant taste with a subtle bitterness, perfect for spring flavors. The refreshing pickled vegetables are enjoyed alongside beer. Peas and pinto beans with egg provide a gentle taste that allows one to truly appreciate the essence of Japanese cuisine. Red crab and watercress soy sauce are excellent accompaniments. The soy sauce is well-seasoned, allowing one to fully enjoy the umami of the red crab.
Porridge (chickpeas, yomogi tofu, wakame, urui, hana-yamano): Enjoy the seasonal ingredients with a clear broth. The chickpeas have a pleasant bite due to their firm texture. Wakame is soft and easy to eat. Urui brings the flavor of spring, while hana-yamano adds a touch of spice. The elegant and premium-quality porridge was a highly satisfying experience.
Sashimi (Natural Indian Salmon, Clams, Abalone, Natural Tuna): beautifully presented sashimi. The salmon offers a rich, deep red color with a delicious taste. The intense umami of the salmon is fully appreciated when chewed thoroughly. The natural tuna provides a satisfying bite with just the right amount of thickness. Although the white flesh is light in color, it also has a profound flavor. The abalone is fresh, allowing one to enjoy its sweet taste. I prefer this combination with beer or Japanese sake “Ibanez (Special Pure Rice)” for ¥1,080. The combination of high-quality sake with sashimi and its refreshing sweetness and richness is truly excellent.
本さわら幽庵焼き:作为烤物提供的本さわら幽庵焼き,其配料包括萝卜和蕗的嫩芽与味噌相结合。幽庵焼き具有恰到好处的甜味和咸味,味道非常出色。与萝卜的组合也极为巧妙。蕗的嫩芽与味噌的风味与萝卜相得益彰,形成了既有趣又平衡的搭配。
Doro Ebi and Mountain Vegetable Kaki-ya: Served with salt, this dish features Doro Ebi and mountain vegetable kaki-ya. Also known as gas ebi, Doro Ebi offers a sweet taste along with the flavor of mountain vegetables, making it a delicious choice. The mountain vegetables, such as uruya and senmai, are reminiscent of spring, making them easy to enjoy. The kaki-ya retains its texture, ensuring a high level of satisfaction. I pair this dish with "Sanjyu Shou" (Pure Rice Daiginjo, Strong Flavor) at ¥1,080. The combination of strong-flavor Japanese sake and the kaki-ya is truly outstanding.
Black beef brisket braised with red wine: The main meat dish in a Japanese menu is black beef brisket braised with red wine. This tender and juicy beef brisket can be enjoyed alongside a salad. The taste is outstanding, and it pairs well with raw vegetables. The combination of sake and beef brisket is also quite enjoyable.
Chirimen Mountain Pepper Rice, Condiments, Miso Soup: A meal menu item. Chirimen Mountain Pepper Rice is a flavoring option that pairs well with rice. It was unexpected that the cooked rice turned out to be more of a surprise rather than a pleasant experience. The miso soup, which includes fried and finely chopped green onions, features high-quality dashi, making it delicious. Egg custard and pickles are delightful accompaniments for rice. This meal highlighted the deliciousness of the white rice.
マンゴー、いちご、デコポン、ブルーベリー:このランチメニューでは、爽やかなフルーツを存分に楽しめる一皿が提供されます。シンプルで美味しい果物を食べられるのは嬉しいことです。デコポンを食べることで、柑橘類の美味しさを再び感じることができました。
The quality of the cuisine was excellent for a Japanese-style meal. There wasn’t much to be surprised about, but overall, it was definitely a dish of high quality.
The selection of Japanese sake is quite comprehensive, making it a great choice to enjoy alongside the course meals. The overall atmosphere of the restaurant is calm and relaxed, making it an ideal place for gatherings. The price point is also very reasonable; "Hashima" is definitely worth considering. I would definitely like to visit here again if I have the chance.
