From the TV program "Restaurants That Don’t Disappear," I remembered the "Desperation Spaghetti."
I had been planning to visit one day, but I didn’t know that it had expanded to 10 stores due to franchise operations.
I know that there is a restaurant in Ikebukuro. It seems that it is open from 3:00 to 5:00 PM. So, I headed there at 3:45 PM on Monday.
After walking out of Ikebukuro Station, it was about 3 minutes away; it was really close.
The restaurant has a counter with 7 seats, 2 tables with 7 chairs each, and 4 tables with 3 chairs each. There were about 10 guests ahead of time, and since there were many empty seats at the tables, we chose to sit at one of the tables with 2 chairs.
The person in charge of the floor explained the menu clearly, stating that our restaurant is known for its spaghetti dishes. They also recommended baguettes that can be enjoyed with the remaining sauce.
Even so, what caught my attention was the HAPPY HOUR (15:30〜18:00) premium Mojito, which costs 350 yen.
I ordered this dish, as well as the despair-inducing spaghetti that was my choice, in a regular size of 120g. I also ordered the baguette.
1、2分後に出てきたプレモルは、コンパクトなサイズのタンブラーに入った生ビールでした。
This costs 350 yen, really a great deal! ♪
While waiting, I noticed a sheet titled "Recommended ways to enjoy Spaghetti Squash." Inside it, there was a "〆's Rice Ball" marked with a POP that read "Promoted on TV!"
Definitely, this is much better than baguettes!
While thinking that I might not make it in time, I asked if they could replace the baguettes with rice balls. Unexpectedly, the request was accepted without any trouble.
10 minutes after ordering, the despairing spaghetti arrived.
There's no beer left. I've ordered the 290 yen Highball from the HAPPY HOUR menu as an additional order.
I expected a much larger portion, but surprisingly it was quite compact. Still, the soup filled the plate almost to the edge, with a little overflowing over the side of the plate.
The olive oil sauce with tomato sauce contains clams, shrimp, or other seafood, and cheese is also melted into it.
It seems that this dish also includes finely chopped onions and mushrooms.
Once you poured the spicy chili oil onto the tabletop, it gradually became closer to your preferred taste.
Also, this chili oil was extremely delicious this time—twice!
“辛い=旨い”という私の脳には、この唐辛子オイル入りの容器がとても気に入っています。このオイルは本当に大好きです♪
The narrow spaghetti had a firm al dente texture, maintaining a strong bite throughout the meal.
Since the thick spaghetti was gone, I added rice balls to the pot, cooked them, and then served them with a spoon. It was absolutely delicious! The refreshing high-ball also went very well together♪
The rice seems to be running out, but the sauce in the dish is still plenty. Oh yeah, let's add some baguettes!
The baguette that was served 3 minutes after the order was placed had burnt on the top. Was it reheated the item I canceled? Even so, the crumbly texture wasn’t bad.
Yeah, that was delicious♪
The menu features 12 different types of spaghetti, along with plenty of pizza, salads, and appetizers.
Also received a card with drink services that can be used next time, so I really want to come back and try other Soppusa dishes as well ♪
Thank you very much for your hospitality ♪♪( ´▽`)/
