In Higashi-ku, Kyoto City, just near the Hachiasan Shrine, there is a steak restaurant located in the alley of Gion.
I heard that the steak-don of lunch was very affordable, so I stopped by.
It seems that the price has been adjusted to 1,500 to 2,000 yen recently. Indeed, the meat was extremely delicious, and it was worth eating.
By the way, judging from the menu, the night portion generally costs over 10,000 yen.
As we entered a narrow alley from Sesshin-dori, and since it’s located on the second floor of a building, those who don’t know this place might get lost.
The interior of this restaurant has the atmosphere of a serious, authentic steakhouse. It’s recommended to sit at the counter and watch the chef's hands-on cooking process.
And there were also a few table seats set up.
I was led towards the table.
The restaurant was occupied by a single chef, a man.
The lunch menu seemed to consist solely of steak dals, and the cooking process began without any confirmation of the order.
After being served a salad, there was a sound of meat being cooked on a metal plate.
Even from the salad alone, it was quite delicious.
The steak dosa featured egg yolks and beef cut into dice.
Although I haven’t practiced enough to be able to tell the grams of meat just by looking, it doesn’t seem like all of the meat is on the surface of the rice.
Just the cooking method, and it's really delicious.
Bit by bit, you just can't help but want to eat it. This is really good meat.
The salt addition is just right, and indeed, the taste reflects a high-class atmosphere.
After the dumpling, they also served ice cream.
How to view 2000 yen is a matter of opinion, but it was indeed delicious meat. I thought this was something that can't be found in chain restaurants.
