This is a restaurant that delivers fresh fish directly from Izu Islands. It's also a place where you can enjoy meat dishes as well. Upon entering the store, you'll feel like you're in a seaside house amidst the city.

Even though there are high-quality restaurants scattered around West Shinjuku 7-chome, the distance from my workplace near Shinjuku Police Station was quite significant.
On a sunny afternoon, I made up my mind to use it.
Walking along Kogata Bridge Street in the direction of Shinjuku West Gate, along the wayA place to mark as a referenceWe entered the alley at the corner of the street and then turned left into a lane that led towards the Qingmei Street. Using this path would be a much shorter route. We turned around at the corner of the Changyuan Temple and walked for a short distance along the pavement facing Qingmei Street, towards the main gate.
The restaurant is located on the ground floor, but at the entrance of the building, a menu with photos is displayed, making it easy to identify the destination.
Looking at the menu, there are limited-time lunches available, as well as one-dollar lunches. Both options include free refills for rice and miso soup.
As I descended the stairs and entered the store, I was surprised to find that it was quite crowded with customers. In the store's blog, it was mentioned that the place seemed quiet and empty, so I was momentarily confused.
重新调整一下心情,然后向位于入口处的年轻工作人员表明了自己的身份——我是一名顾客。
It seems that they decided on the menu first, and then placed the order and settled the bill. I hesitated between "銀鮭ハラス," but in the end, I chose "ほっけ."
After paying the bill, I was given a "number tag." When the order is ready, the number on the tag is called, and I was instructed to take the dish to the cooking area.
The rice and miso soup can be refilled, but there is a special corner in the center of the restaurant. So, just like drinking water from the glass, it seems that customers prefer to get their own servings.
I sat down at the empty table near that corner, and placed my jacket on the seat.
I immediately went to the corner, filled a glass with water, and waited for the number to be called.
Despite being a grilled fish, I was called for the number surprisingly quickly. Probably, it was simply cooked lightly.
I went to the corner again and placed the rice and miso soup there.
The grilled fish is cooked to a pleasing color. Moreover, it’s quite large, and it seems like it has plenty of appeal when it comes to taste.
When I put the chopsticks in, the meat became easily tender. The fat was firmly attached to it, and I enjoyed it more than expected. Since there is no rice or miso soup left, let's order another portion.
Basically, using self-service at the corner has the advantage of saving labor costs. However, it's a concern when customers from all over can touch these areas during this time of year.
This delicious grilled fish set meal was served quickly, making it perfect for a business lunch. From the number of customers, I could tell that it was quite popular.
