This is my first visit. I had heard about it through rumors, but this is truly a wonderful bentō shop...
This is a bento shop located at Shin Yokohama 3-chome. As far as I can ascertain, the situation regarding bento sales in Shin Yokohama is as follows:
① There are about 10 places where goods are sold under the building’s eaves (on the road).
⑥ There are 7 to 8 restaurants offering in-store sales.
Since the pandemic, the number of such restaurants has decreased, but I believe it remains quite high. Purely bento shops can be categorized as follows: ① to ④. Among these, ① to ③ use a central kitchen system, while ④ and ⑤ involve on-site cooking.
Personally, I have utilized all of the options listed as ① and ② (since this is not a permanent bento shop, so I haven’t shared my experiences through word-of-mouth). I have also used ③ and ④ almost entirely. Additionally, I have utilized ⑥ for lunch and dinner occasions.
(As always,) it has become a detailed description...
There are quite a number of restaurants that sell bentō, and the competition among them is extremely fierce. Among these establishments, the "Miyashi" restaurant we visited this time is a unique business model with a shop and on-site cooking service.
This restaurant has been in operation for at least 10 years. However, its followers number only two, and the total number of reviews, including both positive and negative comments, is just 10. It can be considered a niche restaurant. Nevertheless, most people give it high ratings.
I also visited this restaurant a few times since the review service started. Just two weeks ago, I was unable to use it because it stated, "Today's bento is available only for reservations." Time has passed since then.
This is a restaurant that primarily serves self-made bento meals, and reservations are highly recommended. It's not surprising that this time I expected it to be the same situation. But luckily, I was able to use the place without making any reservations.
I arrived around 12:05. I joined a queue of six people. It seems this place is quite popular. The staff said, "We will take about 10 minutes for your order to be prepared." So, I waited. From the window next to the restaurant, I could see the kitchen. The staff seemed very busy.
“銀たら照焼き(税込¥950)”
Personally, I really love grilled fish. It seems that they often sell out, but this day was a lucky one...
前一天下了大雨,但今天却出现了薄雾,气温也相当温暖。于是决定在鹤见川沿岸的长椅上,享受着微风,品尝美味的佳肴。
Since the food is cooked inside the restaurant, it's a 2-tier bento that's warm and cozy. On the top tier, there are fillets that are quite large compared to silver fish, as well as soy sauce-wrapped eggs and two types of side dishes as accompaniments.
The bottom row features steamed rice that is cooked to perfection, accompanied by crispy plum and a little sesame salt. The presentation is quite well-organized…
When I open the lid, I can smell a very fragrant aroma of mirin and soy sauce. Just this smell alone makes me want to eat the rice... The rice is nicely baked, and when I use chopsticks to split it, the fat seeps out with a dripping sound.
It combines the richly sweet and spicy sauce with the tender and smooth flavor of silver hair pork, making it extremely delicious.
My favorite dish is also well-cooked. The slightly charred parts are not bitter at all, and the rich, fragrant flavor is excellent. Especially the side of the skin, which is very fatty. When eaten with the skin, you can't even finish your rice.
The soy sauce omelette is not firm; it's fluffy. When you break it with a chopstick, the soy sauce comes out with a dripping sound.
It had a mild flavor, which complemented the strong silver-dala sauce perfectly. The contrast between these two flavors was delightful, and I enjoyed the gradual change in taste very much. It was truly delicious.
The side dishes, Kinnpira and stew, were also delicious. Both dishes had a gentle flavor based on the broth, allowing us to fully appreciate the freshness of the ingredients.
In particular, the cooking method for the radish used in the stew was excellent. The dried shiitake mushrooms were cooked properly, resulting in a delicious and elegant taste.
The rice is freshly cooked, and the grains are also standing upright. It's not a stiffly prepared dish; instead, it's presented in a fluffy manner, making the eating experience extremely pleasant.

Side dishes were prepared fresh, and the rice was cooked just minutes ago. The grilled fish was made from high-quality ingredients, and it was prepared with great care. It was extremely delicious. Although the price is a bit high, the cost-performance ratio is excellent, and I was very satisfied.
So far, I have received various types of bento boxes. In my opinion, this is the best bento box store in Shinagawa.
This restaurant does not have an in-store dining area, but it is located along the Tsukishima River. There are benches, tables, and a gazebo nearby, so freshly prepared food can be served right there. It’s also a great place for outdoor lunches…
It seems that this restaurant was previously open only for a limited number of groups at night. However, there is no information available regarding its website or social media platforms. I will try to confirm this when I visit again. For lunch, it seems promising...
Next time, I’d like to try “saba no soyu kashii”. I’ll go there again ♪
Thank you for your hospitality!
