The day after arriving in Aomori, I took a stopover in Kitakami to attend a meeting. Additionally, I asked a friendly customer to join me for dinner, and they readily agreed.
It was my first time there, but since several reviews mentioned that the food was delicious, I made an online reservation for 5 am that morning through another medium.
Additionally, Heretic-san operates a yakitoriyaki restaurant during the early hours of the day, and a bar for late-night drinks. Therefore, if you wish to dine there, it is recommended to confirm the time in advance.
Arrival time: 20:29 Private reservation status
Let's groove to Earth Wind Fire together, wouldn't that be great?
Firstly, through online reservations via that medium, we received seaweed as a bonus service.
Edamame. A classic and popular side dish.
Whatever it is, whenever and wherever it is, even in times of departure or when everything seems healthy.
I tried to taste it with a "donut-like" feeling, and it has a spicy flavor. It seems like a taste that might become a favorite.
Although I'm not very familiar with Maizawa beef, it is soft and has a truly distinctive flavor. It seems to be one of the main menu items here, so it's definitely a reliable choice.
◾️Potato with Miso Cheese Roasted (800 yen)
A combination of potato, miso, and cheese on a metal plate. Of course, the results are exactly as expected—a delicious dish that never ceases to be satisfying. It’s perfect as an appetizer for alcohol.
One of the signature dishes. Prepared on a frying pan with freshly made food, these noodles have a fluffy and thick texture. The aroma of the bean sprouts is perfectly integrated with the noodles, making it an irresistible taste. It’s recommended to enjoy them while they’re still soft and not yet set.
◾️Abalone tuna stew (600 yen)
More customers arrived, and in the end, although nothing was actually touched, it was a good lineup.
After having a brief conversation with him, I learned that the master, after his experience working at a tavern in Mitaka, Tokyo’s Setagaya district, opened Heretic in Kitakami. It seems that there are plenty of bars offering various types of sake in this area.
Additionally, the use of Earth Wind Fire as the background music is said to be a preference of the master.
The next time I visit, I might consider asking if it's possible to stream the Teleance Trent Derby.
The master is a tattoo artist, but he’s also an easy-going and talkative guy. The entrance and the restaurant’s logo give off a hardrock-inspired vibe, creating a bar-like atmosphere. But if you approach this place with the spirit of “What will happen if we venture down this path? Don’t be afraid…”, then you’re sure to encounter something new and exciting.
Thank you very much for your hospitality. m(_)_m
