After work, a light drink♪
This time it’s Bostokuya. Along the old Tokaido route between Tenno-cho Station and Bostokuya Station, there seems to be a bistrot opening up right across from the Iwama-cho Police Station. So, I decided to give it a try and went inside.
Upon entering the restaurant, I thought it was quite small. However, I learned that the second floor served as the main dining area, and they suggested that I go there instead. There were both table seats and sofa seats available. The man who guided me said, “It’s a weekday, so even using the sofa seats is fine.” So, I decided to take their advice and sit in those sofa seats. Facing the old Tokaido road, I watched the passing cars and people, which helped me forget about the troubles of work. It was really pleasant.
The service for the dishes and drinks was handled by two female staff members, who were extremely polite. Everyone, including the chef, seemed to have a pleasant impression of them.
I ordered the Terine with egg and broccoli for 550 yen, a duck meat consommé for 1500 yen, and Kassaata for 600 yen. Finally, I added coffee for 400 yen. As for alcoholic drinks, I ordered one glass of La Shabrijenne Shabli La Pierele for 1100 yen, and one glass of Domenu Do Valmosin Pinonnoar for 1200 yen. Tax will be added to these prices.
Egg and Broccoli Terrine
From the photos, it might not be obvious, but surprisingly, it has been cut down to a quite thick thickness. The sauce made from basil is the main ingredient, with a little hint of honey mustard sauce also added as a garnish.
Duck meat consomme
It doesn’t use a lot of ingredients or complex sauces; it focuses on allowing you to fully enjoy the ingredients themselves. So, surprisingly, it’s quite easy to eat.
Casaata
This dessert is a familiar choice in Italian restaurants. The ricotta has a rich and full flavor, with dried fruits scattered throughout. The strawberry sauce has a bright and vibrant taste. This dish was also cut into relatively thick pieces.
Thank you for your hospitality (^^)
