Casually enjoy coffee and rice at this restaurant! Since I started visiting regularly, my test results have been very good.
2024/12/11Update

I had been putting off writing for a while, but it’s finally time again.
I visited this place just for using the café facilities. I arrived in the evening.
We source our coffee from the Kyo-oka Coffee in Kyoto, so you can be sure of the quality of the coffee and cafe lattes we offer. The weather was perfect for sitting at the counter and taking a break.
If it gets a little hotter, I’ll come to enjoy sweet rice soup.
利用はいばらきバルの最終日でした。
Today was a day when I personally couldn't drink alcohol, so I had to settle for a soft drink, reluctantly.
Three types of kombu dishes, with tofu jumbo as an additional item. Even a drink was included. 900 yen – that’s simply too good.
Thank you for posting so many items!

It's a new review post after a long time. This restaurant is definitely my favorite.
In the past year or two, around Tsukigate area as well
As more and more health-oriented restaurants emerge, this café-bar has become a personal hit. This time, it was during an afternoon on a holiday.
I really wanted to drink craft beer. When I thought about going to a place like Megata, the price was just over 1,000 yen, which is a bit too much. So, being able to get it for only 990 yen is really great.
And as a side dish for the beer, there was a sandwich that I saw on Instagram and really caught my interest.
Koji's Scrambled Egg Sandwich, a version with doubled egg portions.
The first one is presented in its original state. The second one is stacked together to show the thickness.
This scrambled egg is truly outstanding. The thickness of the egg is perfect, and it contains leaven. It’s simply superb.
個人的な希望としては、ブラックペッパーも欲しいところですが、これはあくまで個人的な感想です。
It was a good holiday.
It’s been a little over a month since my last visit, so this is my first visit in a while. It was also featured in the June issue of CityLife.
At Cozy Cafe & Bar, I became deeply interested in fermented foods. Gradually, I started to pay attention to what I eat, and somehow, my health seemed to improve. In fact, the results of my regular health check-ups also showed positive changes. This was one of the moments when I realized that the couple who runs this place never seems to fall ill, perhaps because of such continuous efforts.
This time, I ordered the pasta with koji that I had been wanting to try, a Peperonino.
It's a system where they check what would be suitable for the selected pasta at each moment, and then suggest the appropriate ingredients accordingly.
This dish is made with homemade bacon and miso bean-based pesto.
Since the vegetables included parts of the leaves, the nutrients of the vegetables were well preserved. Compared to other peperonino dishes, the amount of oil seemed to be less. The garlic fermentation was effective, and the taste was highly satisfactory.
I usually go there in the early evening, so I don’t have to worry about finding a seat right now. I can enjoy a quiet and peaceful meal. Those who don’t know yet should definitely try the pasta with koji.

Since there was a slight gap before the next use, I decided to visit again before the Spring Break.
Last time, I took the time to look through the menu and made a decision about my order, so it went faster.
The dish I ordered this time is,
Kōsta Minna-dare no kara Mayo-Don
(Unusually, a coffee latte was also ordered after the meal.)
This soy sauce is truly rich in the aroma of garlic. The mayonnaise complements it perfectly. It has a thick sauce that even drips onto the rice, making it irresistible to eat alone. It would have been better if they had served it in a larger portion.
Since it was a holiday weekend, I unusually ordered a coffee latte after dinner to enjoy it leisurely. There was a cute polar bear by the window at the counter, so I took a photo with it.
Unlike the products from familiar convenience stores, this café latte allowed me to fully appreciate the richness of espresso.
(The organic coffee beans are from Oogawa Coffee, according to the review.)
It's possible that I won't be able to visit for about a month. Therefore, I hope that by the next opportunity, I will be able to find at least one new review about this restaurant.
It's quite well-maintained. So this time, I really want to write something serious about it.
Just from JR Tsukumi Station. At the east entrance, there are many stores that have been running for years and are very popular (of course, I like them too). Also, the area around Oniku is bustling with activity, and it's common to see many people coming and going.
This Beyond café, in my personal opinion, is like an oasis in the west entrance. I really enjoy it.
It was featured in the April issue of CityLife. I was worried that it might become crowded with more people, but it’s still a popular spot! Or maybe, due to the news about those supplements, it’s experiencing some strange issues?
I thought it was impossible for a Japanese person who loves both miso and soy sauce to be wary of koji, but could it really happen?
Starting this month, the menu has become more convenient for enjoying dinner as well, which is really appreciated.
I've tried the so-called "drinking infusion" called sweet rice wine, but it wasn't very sustainable for me. If I have to consume the same type of koji, personally, I prefer this kind of meal over anything else. The taste is good according to my preferences, and since it's from a great restaurant, it's even more enjoyable.
It hasn’t been a month since I visited this place, yet it seems that the model who worked there during that time has also been here.
It's a bit uncomfortable when the number of people increases to the point where it becomes difficult to visit, but this is a place I really want to recommend. I want to protect it at all costs.
This time, it's a Kombu Ginger Pollo Plate.
It's great that ginger koji is effective in this dish.
Next time, I've already decided what to order, so I'll be back soon again.

I've been checking the app I registered with last time from time to time, and just by chance, a dish photo that really suits my taste came up.
Moreover, an unexpectedly low price!
I don't know exactly how limited the selection is, so I went straight to eat it on my way back.
This is an absolutely delicious restaurant! The absence of the usual tediousness associated with chicken skin dishes is something that seems to be due to the effect of yeast or the cooking method used. Which one, exactly?
I think it's quite difficult to simmer this dish, but I hope it can become a regular menu item.
Good ingredients + good for health + affordable price
A bowl with all three required syllables perfectly! A perfect score for the first time!
I've been here a few times in the meantime, but this is my second post. Last time, I was there for lunch, so this is my first time dining at night.
It seems that there was a change to the menu for the first time, but it didn’t seem like it was a significant change at all.
The drink sets and dessert sets were made more understandable, and it seems that there was a slight increase in the menu options.
The first thing that made me happy was the sandwich potato set!
Alone, drinking beer while enjoying this set!
Hamburgers are a bit heavy, but sandwiches are just right!
Here, yeasts are also used, so it’s even better!
With this, you can return home feeling like a true gourmet in solitude.

It seems that September had Monday offs, as requested.
It seemed to be a first Monday, so it was empty.
It seems that the restaurant has variable opening hours starting this month.
It was a great opportunity to take photos!
からあげは想像していたよりもボリュームがあり、とても嬉しかったです!
After asking around, it turns out that there are no additional fees.
They prepared a large serving of rice!
Soups are...
Was it Chinese or ginger?
Though my memory is vague, it was a soup made with koji.
Those who distribute local information in Izumi also
The dressing that was forgotten,
This seems to be a dish featuring taro and soy sauce, with a double fermentation process.
Although it has a solidly flavored dressing,
Non-oil products are also a good option.
Kōji, isn't it something that isn't particularly well-known or familiar?
I think there will be quite different opinions between likes and dislikes, but
Personally, both the soup and the salad...
Of course, karaage also has a taste that I really like.
The night menu is also very interesting!
A new restaurant, which still has a certain charm and exclusivity.
It seems that there might be different ways to enjoy this restaurant compared to chain stores.
The repeat is definitely a certainty.
Easy to photograph, and the sense of exclusivity added points.
The drink takeout menu was posted, but
The food wasn't attached to anything. I'll ask about it when the next person comes.
