This time, it's a tour of different countries' cuisines.
I went to “HANGS”.
It's a place that functions both as a café and a bar.
Located in a quite nice location, right near Uchinitsu Station. Yet it has an almost hidden, secluded atmosphere.
Since this is a store that sells electronic cigarettes as part of its café section, it doesn’t look like a typical café at all.
Those aspects have indeed changed, but the menu lineup has also undergone significant transformations.
The coffee is not an ordinary product; it's a specialty coffee made using hand-drinking methods.
Soft drinks include American Dr. Pepper and Root beer, South African Apple Tizer, British Ginger Beer and Quirositycoera, among many other unique products from different countries.
There are also many cocktails available, as well as non-alcoholic drinks that can be enjoyed even by those who cannot drink alcohol. The variety of drinks is quite extensive.
The food includes a unique kind of ice drink, and the desserts include American-style shakes and chocolate-chip cookies.
With so many options available, it was a matter of great difficulty. However, I decided to try one of the restaurant’s recommended American-style shakes.
It has a richly prepared style, and it is described as something that is hardly available in Japan.
Flavors include vanilla, chocolate mint, herbal tea, yogurt, and even many more.
Even when squeezed into a shake, it still causes a lot of trouble.
The price is quite reasonable, but the items served are large in size and definitely rich in flavor.
It's more like ice, rather than a shake.
It seems to have a high calorie count, but its taste was morally acceptable, and the deliciousness was indeed in line with its calorie content.
It's a relatively inconspicuous restaurant, so it's usually empty. Once you step inside, you'll understand why it's so spacious and comfortable. It has a stylish atmosphere that truly feels luxurious.
I believe this is a very unique and special place within the Oosu Shopping Street area.
So, the item I ordered that day was a “Choco Mint Shake” (tax included: 800 yen).
○料理・味…頼んだ後、キッチンから「ウィーン」という機械音が聞こえました。アイスと牛乳を単純に混ぜるだけというのがアメリカ流らしいので、それに従って作られているのでしょう。
A tall glass filled with a generous amount of shake, plus chocolate sauce, and topped with whipped cream.
It doesn’t have that icy texture of a cheap shake, with those gritty particles. Instead, it’s smooth and creamy.
No one dislikes them, right?
○サービス…店内に入り、席に座った後、デスク上に置かれている二次元コードを読み取り、スマートフォンで注文を行います。
While waiting, the food will be served. After finishing eating, you can pay at the counter near the entrance.
It's a restaurant with a stylish appearance, but the service from the staff is quite ordinary in a good way. Even if you just use it as a regular café, there's no problem at all.
○Atmosphere… it has a deep and spacious feel. And it’s very stylish.
The seating arrangements include tables, as well as sofas. In a store in Osu, the use of such space is truly luxurious.
○コスパ…ドリンクは基本的なものなら500円です。それなりのカフェや喫茶店と同等です。
The food menu isn’t that expensive, so it might be a good choice if you just want to eat there.
○総合…普通のカフェでは提供されない、様々な国の珍しいドリンクやスイーツを楽しむことができる、面白いお店でした。
Even for basic coffee purposes, this place is a good location. The store is spacious and not crowded, so it seems to be practical as well.
