“A limited offer for weekdays: 【Japanese sake with 120 minutes of free drinks included】【Autumn Feast】‘Osaka Popular Cuisine Course’! With this price, you can enjoy matsutake tempura as well! Seven luxurious dishes in total! ◇【Limited offers on Saturdays, Sundays, Holidays, and Mondays】(Copy)」@5,500 yen per person.”
It's about a three-minute walk from Shinbashi Station. From Umezumi Street, turn left onto Manekite Katsusha Street. There's a building with a "hecho" appearance, illuminated by golden-colored lights. The first floor is a bar area, but this time, since we've made a reservation, we'll be seated at the table area on the second floor.
The cuisine is served in courses, but for drinks, you can order them via a QR code. Yes, that’s right.
The arrangement of tables and seats is quite spacious, and there are also separate areas for storing luggage.
It maintains an appropriate distance from other seats, making it quite suitable as a space for banquets.
As indicated above, the cuisine is not bad at all. The price of 5,500 yen for this premium drink package (with no strange additional fees at the time of payment) makes this a highly recommended place for those considering using it as a host venue.
People who can drink beer can start with beer, while those who can't drink beer should start with oolong tea.
After the second drink, those who can drink continue to be divided into two groups: those who prefer high-proof beer and those who prefer Japanese sake. The group that includes me, which prefers Japanese sake, drinks it eagerly. Please help me out.
The menu of free drinks includes inexpensive Japanese sake. In addition to "Saku", "AKABU", and "Takumi", there are five more special items available on that day. Moreover, there are rare Japanese sake products that are not commonly found in other stores, such as "Tōyō Bijin no Kishiken" and "Shinsei no Lapis". When these items are included in the free drink menu, it's really impressive.
By the way, Japanese sake is served in a one-koku size of a sake bottle, and it is poured into a shishigaki for drinking.
We Japanese sake enthusiasts were all people who reserved our favorite sake in bottles and drank it by ourselves, with a rather unhygienic manner of drinking. I'm sorry. Since we don't like having different kinds of sake poured into a piggy bank and mixed together, it seems there's no other choice.
Regarding the cuisine, we will also provide comments.
Although it may not be considered an extraordinary banquet dish, it is still a satisfactory choice for a casual izakaya meal. There are no common issues such as extremely small portions or poor taste. Overall, the food is delicious, and the portion size is reasonable (though not quite up to the standard of "good"). The sashimi was also good.
Small dish: Wakame and foie gras. I thought it was abogado, but it turned out to be foie gras after all.
Salad: Watercress and mushroom salad dressing. → Just a regular salad, about one serving per person.
Sashimi. 5 kinds of fresh fish delivered directly from Toyoza, served together. This is a classic dish, but it was actually better than I expected. On that day, tuna and flatfish were the choices I got.
Stewed Potatoes with Fried Eggplants, Spicy Sushi-style Dipping Sauce → Despite the extremely strong oil, the taste of the eggplants is truly memorable. They have a distinct, solid flavor that stands out among all the dishes. Perhaps this dish had the most impact on me.
Tempeh with Large Ebi and Matsutake Tempeh. Unfortunately, the matsutake doesn't have any aroma or flavor. Although it's called "tamago," the shrimps are actually a bit larger than usual.
Steamed Dishes: Autumn Salmon in Hōjiru Method → Delicious salmon served in individual portions. The taste is average.
Meal: Bongoré Udon – Udon noodles filled with a large amount of clams. It would be nice if there was a little more volume in the dish.
There are no desserts available. This led to the situation where it was difficult to determine exactly when the banquet ended.
Anyway, the premium drinks are really good. As a result, the score for drinks and alcoholic beverages significantly outnumbers the score for food, leading to an overall improvement in the overall rating.
I was the host, but the participants' reviews were generally positive. Additionally, since many people drank alcohol, it turned out to be a great get-together.
Thank you very much for your hospitality.
