This restaurant was chosen for a dinner event with customers who have been my guests frequently. I booked the menu in advance through the Yekuro reservation website. Located on the 6th floor of the Marunouchi AZO Building, not only is the food excellent, but the atmosphere of the seating area also feels very pleasant.
The menu you provided includes a whole-curry meal (10 dishes). Even with just 9 dishes, it would have been sufficient. However, the difference lies in the white-baked dish—I really wanted to try that, so I made an extra effort to order it.
The scheduled gathering of four people has begun. First, let's toast with fresh beer. The side dishes served today include minced松菜 and fried egg custard. The refreshing side dishes were truly delicious.
Next came the liver roasting dish. Contrary to what we expected, it had a rich and bitter taste. Both in terms of flavor and texture, it was perfect as an accompaniment to sake. It was really delicious! Sake became more popular as we continued eating. Time to order some Japanese sake.
Next to be seen are dishes like "Umenki Tororo"—delicate preparations, truly remarkable. Within the gentle broth, there's a texture reminiscent of wagyu tofu. The eel wrapped around eggs is absolutely delicious.
さらに、日本酒にぴったり合う料理が続きます。私が目当てにしていた鰻の白焼きがここで登場です。量は少しですが、外はパリッとしていて、中はふっくらと柔らかく、脂がのる美味しい鰻です。
Here, we have two delicious dishes once more. "Uzaaku Yōshi" is a dish made with eel and cucumber in vinegar sauce. It also includes wakame, ginger, and pomelo. On top of this, it's drizzled with yacon miso. The combination of various flavors and aromas is truly delightful. It's perfect to enjoy after other dishes.
And the luxurious tea bowl steamed food is more substantial and has a thicker texture compared to what I usually eat. The ingredients include shrimp, pork, water chestnuts, acorn, and shiitake mushrooms. Although I didn’t notice the presence of water chestnuts, they seem to be high-end ingredients typical of winter dishes.
Well then, finally, the meal that I had been looking forward to so much… Of course, it’s a luxurious, exquisite meal. A whole snake is cut into bite-sized pieces, and they are arranged neatly for easy consumption.
Take a bite, um... yes, it's delicious! Just like the white-baked dish, it has a crispy exterior and a soft, plump interior. It seems that this cooking method is characteristic of the Kansai-style cuisine.
Personally, perhaps because I'm not used to it, I prefer the関東風の料理, which has a moist and soft texture.
But but, the sauce was also delicious—it was extremely tasty.
Finally, the dessert. A genuine-style dessert made with fresh fruits, without any artificial flavors. Both the strawberry and kiwi are very sweet. Even the mandarin jelly is delicious.
Yay, everything was delicious! It was truly a feast of eels. The customers were also very satisfied, and it turned out to be a great dining experience.
Delicious cuisine, excellent wine – thank you very much for the treat.
