門前仲町ランチ。
Visited to experience Edo-style fried dishes, as expected in a down-to-earth town atmosphere.
When I opened the door, there was no customers in the restaurant. … Ugh, really? Did I fail? While feeling anxious, I decided to go in anyway and entered the store.
“天御膳(税込2000円)”と“上天ぷら定食(税込1500円)”のどちらを選ぶべきか迷いますが、その違いがわかりません。どう違うのか尋ねると、御膳には刺身が付くとのことです。刺身は不要なので、後者の“上天ぷら定食”にしました。
Additionally, there was a rare shrimp listed on the menu, so I also ordered "ハゼ". Furthermore, I added the item "桜えび天" that was written on the whiteboard as an additional order.
On the contrary, the rice was served in a smaller amount.
First, the set includes “Yōyōge Ikemen Shimi”. The spinach and onions are thoroughly infused with the broth, along with yōyōge. The broth is well-balanced, making it a great accompaniment to side dishes. Since it’s for lunch, it serves as a refreshing addition to the meal.
Tempeh arrived.
I thought they would be fried one by one, but it turned out that shrimp were also included. They were served all at once in a plate... It's been a long time since I've experienced something like this. A little disappointing, but there's nothing I can do about it...
First, we serve the "eggplant" with salt... Oh! The core of the eggplant is not fully cooked, which is just the right amount of saltiness.
Next are "Shishitou," "Kiss," and "Megochi."
The way clothes are dressed, the way the fried items are prepared, and the delicious taste of the inside ingredients... In every aspect, the dishes served here are of a truly high quality.
However, the second time I tasted the shrimp, it turned out that due to the passage of time, the shrimp had been overcooked inside. As a result, its taste and texture were quite different from the first shrimp.
The oshincha ingredients included “takayan, Chinese cabbage, and sliced moro vegetables…” The soft rice that had been cooked for some time was still present, but it was a bit disappointing. However, it complemented well with the salty oshincha.
The miso soup with dashi is also extremely delicious.
An additional dish called “Sakura Ebi Heaven” is served on a separate plate. It has a crispy texture. The flavor of the sakura ebi is more pronounced when using salt rather than soy sauce. Therefore, we prefer a ratio of 7:3, where we use more salt for the sakura ebi portion.
tasted it, and I feel that a set meal alone doesn't seem to have enough portions. It's necessary to order more food.
I also wanted to add more eel and small columns, but it seems that is not necessary for now.
Before I knew it, the tables inside the restaurant were fully occupied by local customers.
When I entered, it was almost empty. But this restaurant was quite popular.
However, after tasting it, I feel that it was at a level where one could understand its quality even without further explanation.
