A barbecue restaurant opened in front of Nameco Jiangnan Station on October 8, 2021. I visited it on a weekend night. The interior has four counters and seven tables, totaling 12 seats. I arrived around 16:10, which was an early hour, so there was only one customer before me.
The menu features pork hormones like tonchan, as well as beef cuts such as karrubi, tan, harami, and tsurami. There are also non-beef meats including pork butt, pork trotter, kašova, and seseri. Additionally, there are special dishes like Tansteaki and 7-second Suki Yaki Rōs. The prices for the meat items range from 380 yen, which can be considered quite affordable. What's even more surprising is the unlimited lemon swerre service, where there's a server at the table for self-service drinks. This is a common style of service nowadays. However, the price for this service is just 60 minutes for 100 yen. Even though you need to order at least one dish, it still seems like a free service, doesn't it?
The dishes served were Hori-san’s lemon tandoor meat, medium-rare karabai, and even the grilled karabai with excess fat. The medium-rare karabai had a richly fatty texture that suited my preferences. The juicy, fatty sweetness spread in my mouth, making it quite delicious. The sauce was also sweet, which I liked. Overall, I found the karabai dishes to be quite enjoyable.
On the other hand, Lemon Tan is a tuna with plenty of fat. The meat itself isn’t bad, but it遗憾的是 shrinks a bit when cooked. Additionally, when eaten together with lemon, the bitterness from the skin and anything else is overwhelming. In fact, it seems that simply cooking the tuna with lemon isn’t the right way to enjoy it. Maybe I just didn’t know how to eat it properly.
Of course, I ordered a lemon soursa, which comes with a drink service for just 100 yen. It's quite strong when it's raw, so yes, you can adjust the strength, but if I just drank it plain, I don't think I even managed to drink ten glasses. I ended up getting quite drunk, lol.
This restaurant is a "speed bar" with a 90-minute time limit. It's a good idea to have a quick drink here, and right next to it or across the street, there are chain stores selling yakiniku and dumplings. You can visit those stores as your second or third place of dining. It sounds like a pleasant place to drink in Jiangnan. If I have another chance, I'd love to visit those yakiniku and dumpling shops too. Thank you for the meal.
