Just a walk from the Uruma Gyouke Station, we visited "Tan-kura Honban" after making a reservation for 5 o'clock.
From the area around Nijō Takasegawa for a casual drink, I walked leisurely towards the vicinity of Umurano Gike Station to kill some time. This is the street of the famous ryokan "Hinoya".
Just before the restaurant opened, I arrived in front of the store. There were two foreigners who seemed worried and were waiting there. They said, "The store opens at 5 p.m., so we have another 5 minutes of waiting!" At the scheduled time, the door opened, the warm screen was up, and the store officially opened!
And then, just in the right moment, two foreigners with children walked in and said, “Ah, that’s it!” The building was a wooden structure with a deep layout, typical of Kyoto houses. They took off their shoes and put them in the shoebox.
The first two groups didn’t make any reservations, so they went to the counter. We were guided to a nice room on the second floor, where two rooms were combined into one.
Please include a comment when making a reservation, such as "Seated at tables, this will be added to the menu. Please do so." When ordering drinks, make sure to ask, "At what point should the additional order be made?"

These sticked versions of Kyoto vegetables are fresh and crisp. For the hand-rolled meat, two types of mountain pepper are added to enhance the flavor. Each piece of grilled meat is served individually. And for Kyoto sake, there’s a full cup to enjoy!

savoring the taste of that famous station bistro at Tokyo Station, and thinking, "That's good."
Additionally, there are soy sauce-marinated skewers and egg omelets! I enjoyed these dishes at the station food, which I thought were really delicious.
For desserts, I ordered ice cream and pudding. I'm already full.
In the private tables, two foreign groups took turns sitting. From within this elegant building, came pleasant laughter.
期待していた「串焼き」を存分に楽しんだ後、店を出た時はもう9時！風が心地よく、「本当に秋になったのかな」と思いながら、地下鉄駅へ向かった。
The taste of the station buns was truly satisfying; it was the flavor of the main restaurant!
