【Visits: 3 or more times】
In March, I happened to stroll along the road in front of Akagi Shrine and came across this restaurant.
It’s a small place with only 7 counter seats, run by the same owner.
The gentle character of the owner and the freshly cooked rice cooked in earthen pots are just too attractive to not visit.
Since it’s still in the trial and error stage, things may change. For now, the menu consists of a good lunch meal with salted salmon for lunch, and four traditional dishes with your choice of side dishes for dinner.
Latest updates can be confirmed on Instagram (search for ‘Kagurazaka Aruyo-no’ to find the account).
On the night of this visit, I had the traditional four dishes (cuttlefish and potato salad, cuttlefish, dill and cabbage, bamboo shoots), plus side dishes like spring vegetable tempura, salted salmon, and freshly cooked rice.
The freshly cooked rice takes 30 minutes to prepare, so you need to order it early.
At night, you need to order at least one drink.
I ordered two types of sake from small bottles.
The total bill for this visit was 5900 yen.
This is a restaurant that I want to warmly observe the trial and error of.
