This restaurant has been in operation for almost one year and four months.
From Urawa Station, it's a short walk. Just as described in my previous post (word of mouth), if you want to enjoy seafood dilled in Urawa, this is the place 【Kikuchi】
It has been about 6 months since I last visited this place. When I asked the young owner, he said that there are whales in the menu today!
Because it was so delicious, at the time of leaving, I said to the owner,
“Is this red meat minced?” When I asked that question,
“いえ、それはニタリクジラです”と店主が言った。
Oh〜,
It’s a high-quality red meat with few tendons and no unpleasant taste!
Of course, all the other ingredients are also excellent!
This is also evidence of good freshness!
Previously, the seafood dilled from “Sushi Ninomiyama” was my favorite. However, since the price has been raised from ¥1300 to ¥2000, now this place offers a larger portion, more ingredients, and an even better taste!
From now on, if I want to eat seafood dilled in Urawa, I’ll definitely go to this place!

JR浦和駅から北口の改札を出てから歩くと、約13分(907メートル)かかります。
The restaurant 【Kikuko】 is located on the first floor of a building, just right next to the National Route 17, which runs straight through Itoyoko Kado and Nakayama-dori (Yoshino Family).
Since the restaurant opened, it has been one full year, which marks August 8th this year.
It was my third visit in about half a year.
Even when reading other reviews, this restaurant is known for its fresh seafood dols, which are both fresh and affordable, and delicious.
This time, we have reserved two seats at 12 o'clock to enter the restaurant.
The seafood dilled remains as always, with an exceptional price of ¥1,500 excl. taxes.
I often buy bento boxes and sashimi at Isetan, Atre, and PARCO. The prices are quite reasonable, and considering the fact that these items can be purchased quickly, they are definitely very affordable.
By the way, what Tsure did order is a grilled fish menu. Here it is – excluding taxes, it costs ¥1,000!
The owner asked, "Today, we have both menuke and silver shakés prepared as western-style dishes. Which would you like?" ^ ^
On the contrary, from my perspective, which one would you recommend?

“Personally, I prefer silver shakos.”
As suggested, I ordered the silver scallop.
By the way, unlike last time, the options for "large rice portion" or "yaki-ya" were available, and the additional cost was ¥100 per item.
(Well, still cheap!)
Until the seafood dilled is ready, I had a short conversation with the owner.
It seems that they have moved all their operations to Urawa. Previously, they mainly sourced ingredients from Taito City Market. Now, they source ingredients from Daioi, Toyoza, and Urawa. It seems that they use these three locations for acquiring their ingredients!
If you visit three times, you tend to buy too much. That's what the owner told me.
“Today, I put in a slightly larger amount,” they said. First, I was shocked by the appearance and quantity of the items!
In fact, after eating them, I can say that they were all delicious. Even though I changed the type of vinegar rice, the rice itself was still not in a large serving size. Yet, right next to the sashimi, there was a thick layer of vinegar rice!
I really hope you will try this seafood dilled from this restaurant.
Additionally, the silver shakés ordered by Tsure were also exquisite, with a rich fat texture and the perfect blend of Saitama Prefecture's [Azumi Kizuna]. This product has also won the Special A rating for five consecutive years. The balance between refreshing sweetness and umami is truly perfect, making it a great match for yakiniku or rice!
When you visit the restaurant, it will be very crowded. Therefore, it is recommended that you make a reservation in advance.

If I have to say that one of my favorite or recommended Japanese restaurants in Urawa is 【Kakumocho Shurakuma】 located near Urawa Station (North Gate).
This restaurant has been my favorite since before it even opened over a decade ago. ♪
In such a situation, on this year's August 8th (Thursday), I visited the newly opened Japanese restaurant 【Kireya Kikuchi】 to have lunch. It was my first visit there in about two months.
The reasons for deciding to visit this restaurant are, as the title suggests, three in number.
① First of all, the freshness and taste of the fish are excellent.
※The fish is purchased daily by the owner himself at the Omiya Market.
② Service is excellent.
※The young handsome owner seems to be quiet and somewhat of a craftsman, but the owner's father, who is serving customers outside the store with his wife recently, also performs extremely well!

※The grilled fish comes with side dishes and soup. The price is tax-exclusive: ¥1,000-.
A popular restaurant that already shows signs of difficulty in securing reservations.

August 8th, 2023 (Thursday) – New Opening
【料理屋 季口】お店の由来はわかりませんが、魚料理や和食を中心に提供するということで、ずっと気になっていたお店です。
Others, even after reading reviews, mentioned that the seafood dilled is very cost-effective and popular among customers...
So, starting from today, the first day of the four-day holiday, two people arrived at 1:30 PM for lunch. They made reservations for this restaurant.
The interior of the restaurant is modern and beautiful, truly worthy of its newly opened status ♪
The menu was decided in advance.
I ordered a set meal of grilled fish and tofu in the seafood dake.
By the way, the owner standing at the counter is young and handsome.
When I ordered the seafood dilledu,
“Would you like a vinegar rice dish?” When asked this, the handsome owner said,

That handsome owner of the restaurant, he’s really good at his work too!

So, first of all, let me enjoy the seafood dilled dish, as if it were prepared by me♪
Wow! From the first bite, this is a massive amount of food.
From the bowl, sashimi comes out abundantly!
Counting the ingredients, there were even 11 different kinds of items included!
Among these dishes, the shrimp, octopus, and sea scallops were particularly delicious!
Next, I ate half of the grilled fish from Tsure.
Oh~ The proper fat of Hirasu complements the flavor of Nishikyo miso, fully bringing out its rich and savory taste.
Moreover, the flavor penetrates even to the bones. When you chew it, it tastes delicious.
By the way, I ate all the bones!
Since it was delicious, I asked the owner about the fish and the shari (rice).
It was said that the fish is sourced daily from "Omiichi Market," and the rice used comes from "Saitama Prefecture."
Not only are the fish delicious, but it's also a pleasure to enjoy rice with them. That's really helpful.
This place will definitely be revisited.
