This restaurant is located on the 2nd floor of "Escal Yokohama," operated by the Japan Merchant Welfare Association. It opens at 7 a.m., and its breakfast menu costs 1,200 yen. The meal is served in a buffet format. Both guests staying at the hotel and the general public can use this service.
By the way, this association manages and operates four maritime workers' halls in major ports across the country: Escal Yokohama, Navios Yokohama, Escal Kobe, and Kawasaki Maritime Workers' Hall.
Originally, as a facility for the welfare of sailors, their families, and maritime professionals, this restaurant is widely used as a place for accommodation, rest, and hosting of training sessions or various meetings. Therefore, it is unfortunate that our establishment does not have an outwardly open atmosphere—it is indeed difficult to gain access to it.
The buffet items include: eggs, bacon, sausage, grilled salmon, grilled soba, curry, and grilled dishes.
Serve any dishes other than yakisoba and curry on plates.
Fresh vegetables are mainly green vegetables.
This restaurant offers a wide variety of dishes including natto and rice. However, the quality of the rice is average.
The miso soup includes wakame in a bowl, with broth (containing oil gyoza and tofu) poured over it. It’s quite delicious.
Although the variety of main dishes is limited, each dish is of high quality, which is a pleasant surprise.
After eating, a dessert (fruit + yogurt) and hot coffee are consumed.
The paper cups for hot coffee (no ceramic cups) bear the label of Caravan Coffee.
Originally from the local carriage road, it is now under the umbrella of Unimatt Life. They serve delicious coffee.
The satisfaction is worth the price.
