Just like usual, we made a reservation and went there with two people. Of course, we started with beer. A side dish was served. It's a mousse of golden radish.

Note for May 2016
This time, I visited this restaurant as part of a dinner party with my friends. We had reserved a private room for our meal.
Unlike usual, we chose a full-course meal. Let's toast with fresh beer. Since all four of us like alcohol, this gathering always gets lively.
The appetizer was made with morucca vinegar. It contained yam and kombu. Unlike the dishes served in a simple a la carte setting, this appetizer offers something different, which is one of the pleasures of a course meal.
My favorite dish, fried white fish with mustard sauce, was included in the menu by my husband out of consideration for me.
The sashimi is a combination of various items, but the sashimi at this restaurant is always delicious.

普段はあまり食べないイチボ肉のステーキも出ました。軟らかく美味しいお肉でした。
Four people consumed 10 glasses of raw beer, 4 kilos of "Yabunezan" cold wine, and 2 kilos of "Teshikawa" cold wine.
Next time is scheduled for autumn. This event also happens 2-3 times a year, and it has been going on for 7 years this year.

March 2016 Update
Recently, it has been difficult to book appointments on Saturdays, so this is my first visit in a long time. Since we are two people, we sit at the counter.
Initially, it was decided to start with beer. After the beer, as usual, we ordered cold sake, "Yabunezan."
The side dish is a mixture of flowers. I ordered a platter of various dishes and a white-baked eel. The platter includes cherry tomatoes, salmon, scallops, cuttlefish, shrimp, and tuna—a wide variety of choices.
The sashimi at this restaurant is always delicious. The eel was a bit smaller compared to last time. I always order the whitefish with mustard sauce; it's my favorite dish.
Delicious. The next dish I ordered, spring eel fried with shiitake mushrooms, is a truly spring-themed meal. After the abalone and ganoderma oyster dishes, I had the usual dry curry.
I always order this dish, which is a unique flavor and truly delicious dry curry.

Note from November 2015
It was difficult to make reservations on Saturday, so this is my first visit in a long time. Since you've obtained a Michelin star, reservations may become even more difficult in the future.
Since there were two people, we sat at the counter. As usual, we started with beer. The signature dish of this restaurant is always delicious.
I ordered a set of grilled dishes. As always, the menu offers a variety of choices to satisfy our cravings. This time, the grilled mackerel and squid with kombu was truly delicious.
I will change it to cold wine "Hachihama". Following the usual pattern, I end up ordering the same item again.
I ordered white-baked eel with white shrimp and mustard sauce. The eel was as big as usual, with rich fat, making it a delicious dish. In the past, most of the eel used was from Lake Biwa.
It is said that this product comes from Hamana Lake. It is covered with plenty of brambles, and then rolled into a roll. The alcohol in the dish makes it quite intoxicating.
I ordered a few other dishes as well, and all of them were of satisfactory quality.
Finally, there’s my favorite dish—dry curry. This curry has a flavor that I can’t find in any other restaurant. After drinking alcohol, I usually don’t eat much rice-related food.
This restaurant’s dry curry is something I just can’t resist eating.
Thank you for your hospitality.

Note from June 2015
It's a long time since I've visited again. Recently, it's becoming difficult to get reservations on Saturdays, so I haven't had many opportunities to come here.
I was guided to the counter. As usual, we started with beer.
I usually order a variety of grilled dishes, but depending on the season, different seasonal fish are served. This time, the special dish is a grilled salmon served with kombu.
Deliciousness. It has become a common practice to change from beer to cold wine while enjoying the sashimi.
I ordered white-baked eel. I really like this restaurant's white-baked eel—it’s always large pieces of eel, with thick and delicious meat.
Next, I ordered a curry of duck and fresh potatoes, which are also my favorite dishes. I enjoyed it very much.
After that, I ordered several dishes. In the end, I tasted the famous dry curry for the first time in a long time. The amount was quite large. Usually, I have a partner...
It’s divided into halves. It’s a unique curry dish, with minced meat served on top, and semi-mature eggs as toppings. It’s delicious. This time, we ate two beers and two liters of cold wine together.
It feels like I haven’t had enough to drink, so shall I go to a wine bar instead?

Recently, I visit this place about once a month. However, sometimes I request individual dishes or full-course meals.
We always order the sashimi that is prepared in the grill. They serve fresh fish from that particular season. No matter who we bring along, everyone is satisfied.
While it may not always be available, I really enjoy the white-cooked eel dishes. It seems to be a naturally large eel, and it has a rich fat content. It pairs perfectly with wasaabira sauce.
It fits well. With this size, it's definitely a white-yaki over a grilled dish.
My other favorite dish is the white shrimp with mustard sauce. This season, we have taro white shrimp. But during the period when there are white shrimp from salmon, I prefer to order them as white salmon white shrimp.
It's done in a very professional manner, and this is truly exquisite food.
If I order by the "aperitif" option, I always end up ordering the same thing again. In the case of a menu, something unexpected might appear as an option.
Sometimes, it's better to choose a menu that offers variety for a more enjoyable dining experience.
Normally, I prefer beer over sake (Yabushan). But this time, I ordered shaburi. When it comes to Japanese cuisine, I don’t drink much wine.
However, Prieure’s Chablis truly adapted well to Japanese cuisine, and it was actually very delicious.
Again, I'm causing you some trouble.

H26年1月追記
It's been a long time since I've made a reservation, so this is my first visit in a while.
Sit at the counter, and let's toast with beer. The appetizers have been served. There's "Naniwa Vegetables" – I heard the name before, but I forgot it. And also a dish made of crab meat.
I ordered a set of grilled dishes. The grilled dishes for today included whale tail fillet, salmon, herring, kombu stewed with shrimp, eel, and a dish made with clouded sea scallops.
The dishes at this restaurant are always fresh and delicious. Even though it was the first time I had whale meat, there was no smell at all; it was extremely delicious.
I've changed the alcohol to
This is truly delicious.
The alcohol keeps flowing. After that, we always ordered the white bean mustard sauce and gratin of white fish.
If you order a "arakatsu," it seems that you often end up getting the same dishes again.
This time, I ordered abalone soup with wakame. It was very refreshing and paired well with alcohol.
In the end, it’s the usual dry curry. It’s always crowded, but the staff are all very friendly and helpful.
Thank you very much for your hospitality.
Note for February 2025
This time, it's a party of four, including a friend couple. We booked a private room and enjoyed a meal with a set menu.
First, let's toast with fresh beer. The appetizer has arrived. It contained shellfish, and it was the name of a type of shellfish that I've never heard before. Unfortunately, I forgot it.
Next is the salt-roasted white asparagus. It's a large piece of asparagus. The sweetness is incredible—when you bite into it, the sweetness spreads throughout your mouth.
The next sashimi featured kohada, which is my favorite dish, along with turban shells. The accompaniments were just right, and they tasted delicious.
The scallop also became quite firm in texture, and it was delicious.
I changed it to the usual cold wine from Yaibai Mountain. Even after that, delicious dishes continue to be served.
The steak made from chichibō meat was soft and delicious, which left a pleasant impression. Normally, when I order a full meal, there is additional meat dishes served as well. But meat dishes were not something I often ordered.
Since it wasn't available, it became a dish that I will have to think about from now on.
The last bowl of tea soba also contained a duck, and the perfect taste intertwined with the soba made me very satisfied.
We had a pleasant conversation with 4 people, drinking 4 cups of Yakushima beer, 2 cups of Teki River beer, and 11 glasses of raw beer. Thank you for the delicious food and drinks.
June 2026 Update
This time, since there are two people, we ordered to sit at the counter. As usual, we toasted with beer.
A starter was served. I've forgotten the name, but it's a type of seaweed, similar to mussels. First, I ordered a set of grilled dishes as starters.
Toro, sweet shrimp, white clams, pomfret, shrimp, octopus, kisu seaweed steamed with salt, and more. The dishes prepared at this restaurant are always delicious, no matter which one you choose.
The alcohol has gone to such an extent that it becomes troublesome.
Next, I ordered kama’s tempura and jyun-sai. The kama has thick flesh and plenty of fat, making it delicious.
This restaurant’s vinegar addition is truly excellent, and I am very satisfied.
The steamed dishes of shrimp and yubah are refreshing, making them perfect for Japanese sake. The shrimp is also tender, and the consistency of the kuzu complements it perfectly.
The grilled chicken dishes are also very flavorful and delicious. The chicken was quite large. We ordered two bottles of beer and two packs of Yakushima sake.
When there are two people, we prefer to order individual dishes. However, when there are more people, a set meal is more convenient.
