Located about 3 minutes from the East Ginza Station on the subway, "BISTRO Katsu-yaki Fukumimi, Ginza Branch" is a great choice.
I took off my shoes and sat down at the counter, where foreign customers were easily noticeable.
If I ask the staff, they said that these days 70 to 80% of the customers are foreigners, and all the staff can provide services in English.
If you look closely, the staff members are also very international in their background.
While looking at the menu within a casual atmosphere, all the items were presented with photos or illustrations, and they were explained in English.
The staff also actively approaches foreign customers who are struggling with ordering, showing excellent hospitality.
First, while drinking Japanese sake with a traditional gozukuri cup, I received intense gazes from foreigners on both sides.
“How about one drink?” I didn’t have the courage to speak up like that.
〈Received items〉
◇Abalone and salmon in wasaibu soy sauce
The sizzling sensation is unbearable.
◇チキンのお風呂引き
Delicious with a crispy texture!
◇串焼き:つなぎ・ねっく・おもち巻き・ぼんじ
Rice, Steaks, Pork Flank
I choose either salt or sauce for the yakiniku, but I’m surprised to find that "sauce" has become a universal term like a common language in the world! All the foreign customers understood what "sauce" meant.
This is a restaurant that I hope will work hard to help foreigners learn about Japanese culture.
Thank you for your inspiration.
