Today, again at Toshi-san. I ordered a "Pork Wing Set" for 1,000 yen.
First, we indulge in the annual "free salad bar". Shortly after that, the chicken cutlet arrives.
On a fluffy texture of dough, there’s a sweet sauce made with ketchup... For those who expected a genuine "tandoori chicken specialty shop's thigh cutlets," this might be a disappointment. However, if you consider it as a bar-style version of "polled cutlets," it can be acceptable. The thigh meat itself is quite large and very tender and delicious.
I wish I could have enjoyed the food as freshly fried as it was, rather than something prepared in advance. But considering the restaurant's focus on pasta, this seems to be the only option available.
Nevertheless, the charm of this restaurant remains unmatched with a price of 1000 yen for a salad bar and soup (of course, rice is also included). The quality of the pasta is also undeniable.
This was my first experience with a menu other than pasta. Since it was an opportunity, I would like to try something other than pasta next time—maybe a curry.

I ordered the "Seafood Cold Tomato Pasta" for 1000 yen.
Appearing with a visual that was completely different from what one would imagine when hearing terms like "cold dishes" or "seafood"! At first glance, it doesn't even resemble a cold pasta dish made of seafood.
But this restaurant was even more delicious. The service was also very attentive and thoughtful.

The main ingredients are basically broccis that are first cooked and then cooled. Other delicate ingredients like sliced green onions also contribute to the variation in flavor.
This restaurant's highlight is its freshly prepared pasta with chewy noodles. Since it's a cold-prepared dish, the noodles are extremely thin—so thin, in fact, that they resemble tiny spires. As it's a cold dish, this really is the best choice!
And the salad bar is very stable. There's a wide variety of options, which is really exciting.
Broccoli, young corn, mini tomatoes, and more! There’s also pumpkin and boiled eggs! In total, there are over a dozen varieties of delicious items available!
This meal comes with a richly flavored consomme soup. At just 1,000 yen, it’s truly an impressive deal during these times.
I was also interested in the menu item called "Japanese-style Tomato Curry". Next time, I would like to try making curry with tomatoes.

After half a year, we had our first Toshi lunch.
Today, it seems that there is no curry available. Instead, I ordered a set meal consisting of two types of pasta and pork butt stew. The menu included the "Shinano Chicken with Zucchini Tomato Sauce Pasta" for 1,000 yen.
What a great choice – extra portions are available for free.
As always, the fresh pasta is delicious.
And the salad bar where you can get unlimited servings.
Not only raw vegetables, but also side dishes that match the set meal are available for free. I once ordered a large portion of pasta, but I couldn't get any additional side dishes; it was regrettable.
For some reason, even if I order pasta, I always get miso soup as well. Lol. The mushroom miso soup is really good.

We ordered a tuna and potato tomato pasta lunch for 1000 yen.
It’s not a tomato-based sauce at all. Instead, it has a cream-based sauce with tomatoes that add a sweet and sour flavor as an accent. It’s quite innovative and excellent. The tuna and potatoes complement the sauce perfectly, making it extremely delicious.
As you take a bite of the pasta, you’re completely amazed by its delicious, tender texture!
Since it wasn't written anywhere, I decided to check it out. It turned out that it was indeed a raw pasta dish. The sauce and the raw pasta combined perfectly; truly delicious.
This meal comes with a mini salad and a delicious mushroom soup, and the price is just 1,000 yen. That’s an incredible deal.
And, I couldn’t resist the suggestion of “extra-large noodles for free.” So, I went for extra-large noodles. It’s really a great deal! (Maybe it’s a temporary service to celebrate the opening of the restaurant.)
Since the restaurant has been open for a short time, or perhaps because it is still before 12 o’clock, I saw only one other customer aside from myself.
But it’s a stylish bistrot that doesn’t really have the charm of North Kowloon… (Sorry! Laughing.) Moreover, the raw pasta is delicious. It seems like this place will become very popular in the future.
I'm also curious about what other lunch menus look like, and I'm interested in the evening menu as well.
