Today's unique and lively restaurant is right here!
A yakiniku and sushi restaurant located in the entertainment district of Kumamoto.
While strolling, I peeked inside the basement of a building.
I found this little, cozy restaurant, so I decided to go there.
Perfectly suitable for today's twilight mood♪
Is it a family-owned restaurant?
It's a small-yet-cozy yakitori and izakaya with just one chef responsible for cooking and two staff members handling service.
The restaurant itself is located underground in a building, so it isn’t very noticeable. However, it seems to have a lot of regular customers.
This is a perfect place to dine in groups.
This time, I used a counter seat alone.
There's also a TV, so it's not boring at all.
For now, let's celebrate today's achievements with a Black Nikka Highball.
The appetizer is a stew of bamboo shoots.
I don't know whether the izakaya in Kumamoto is typical of such places, or whether it's just because they're located in a standard entertainment district.
A variety of horse meat dishes, including shaved horse meat and stews.
When I come to Kumamoto, I always eat horse meat.
This time, I was served a horse leg stew that I had never tried before.
Filled with a crispy texture, the taste resembles that of beef tendon, but
It has a unique smell like that of beef, which is quite nice.
The seasoning is quite light, similar to a simple salt-braised dish.
It also complemented perfectly with yuzu pepper.
Continuing with the horse meat menu, there are also horse rope skewers.
It's the flesh between the bones of the temporal bone.
It seems to have a firm texture, but it has a rich flavor.
End of the story!
I ordered the chicken white gizzard from the yakitori menu.
This is generally delicious.
End of the review!
Next, I chose pork feet as the main dish.
You can choose between salt-baked and fried dishes.
Since fried dishes seem to have high calories, I asked for a salt-baked version instead.
I'm cooking the prepared pork cutlets with just the right softness, slowly and gently, while making them fragrantly aromatic.
This is a high-level restaurant.
“アチチ!”とつぶやきながら、手で直接食べるのが一番美味しい!
After taking a short break, I have prepared the sake from Kumamoto, Kōzuki, at room temperature.
As things were getting more enjoyable, a friend from Kumamoto Kemenin joined us.
I ordered a radish bun.
The radish bun itself is ordinary, but the middle part is quite dome-shaped.
Such a shape is something new for me.
After removing the thinly baked egg, there was cabbage shreds underneath.
It also has mayonnaise added to it.
If you eat everything together, it's extremely delicious!
Let's try to imitate this at home, too (laugh).
And, once again, pork feet appear!
This time, it’s fried chicken wings! ♪
This time, the biggest hit was the fried tonsoke.
And, a serving of simme is Jack Daniel’s Highball.
Thank you for your hospitality♪
Meal options include roast birds, salads, and rice dishes.
