Nagashima Station East Gate is a area that will undergo further development in the future.
However, it has not yet been developed, and it gives off an impression of a rather chaotic atmosphere.
A friend who lives in the area mentioned that there's a authentic Kyoto-style restaurant right in Higashi-itchi.
Is there such a restaurant? Being invited to visit one, I went and found myself at this place called Kyoto cuisine, Fukū.
It is said to be an old-established restaurant that moved its warm gate to Kōjima in the year 1951 after the war, specializing in Kyoto-style cuisine.
It was quietly located at the corner of the street.
Upon entering the restaurant, you are greeted by a warm atmosphere. Despite being a traditional establishment, it is beautifully designed and provides a comfortable feeling for customers.
The reservation form states that the restaurant is fully booked today. On Eatlog, it doesn’t seem to be very popular, but locally, it seems to be quite popular, apparently. ^^
Indeed, such an atmosphere in a restaurant like this is something I've never seen before in Kōjima.
四季のお弁当 2500円
A bento tray stacked three layers deep. I completely forgot to take a picture of the overall scene… that's a real blind spot, lol.
A bento box containing sashimi, winter fish, vegetables, and miso soup.
The sweet potatoes and tomatoes are cooked gently, and the fish is also very delicious!
Rather than focusing on the deliciousness of the dishes, it's more about enjoying the relaxed atmosphere that this bento creates. ^^
And what made me even more pleased was the dessert!
This dessert, beautifully decorated with a Christmas tree, was served with authentic matcha. It brought a truly warm feeling to my heart.
It turns out that there was such a authentic Japanese restaurant in front of Nōshima Station ^^
It’s strange that despite having been open for many years, there are very few reviews posted on social media.
I think it would be nice if more attention could be given to this place...
