This is the second store of the Sushi Rikuzo Group, which has its main branch in Okubo and currently operates 4 stores. I decided to try sushi on a weekend lunchtime, and although it was a bit too late, I was able to make a reservation for this lunch. It took me about 10 minutes to walk from Nekonashita Station. When I arrived just before 12 o’clock, the L-shaped counter with 10 seats was already full. The clean and sophisticated interior was filled with young and energetic voices, creating an atmosphere that truly reflects the spirit of a modern sushi restaurant.
The details of the lunch-only special for this day are as follows.

In terms of the first impression of the presentation, the shari has a strong presence of vinegar, and the nigiri are relatively large. Personally, I find that a strong presence of vinegar can sometimes be overwhelming, but this dish maintains a good balance between the vinegar and the larger nigiris. The specially sliced sumimi eel creates a great synergy with the shari, along with an appropriate amount of salt. The double-layer structure of the sushi is impressive, and the fennel seeds added inside enhance the flavor. The broth with a rich umami taste is also noteworthy. As for drinks, I ordered Evias in medium bottles, and as for sake, I chose the recommended Bakuren. The total duration of my visit was just over an hour and a half, but it was a satisfying lunch experience.
According to the young master Kishizuka who helped me with the order, although the group's suppliers are the same, the items purchased vary from store to store. The ingredients for lunch and dinner also differ. It's a very busy time during weekends for lunch services. I heard that they are still preparing for their fifth store, so it's uncertain whether they will continue serving lunch there. However, with additional sushi and drinks included, the cost is just over @10,000 yen. It's a really great value-for-money deal. Personally, I would like to see them continue operating. ;-)
Therefore, thank you very much for your hospitality!
