A brewery located in the Saien district of Morioka City, about 15 minutes walking distance from Morioka Station on various lines.
As a store directly operated by the local craft beer brewery, Bearen, it is listed on the list.
Entering the restaurant before 9 PM on a weekday
On this day, from morning to afternoon, we toured the city of Morioka and explored local restaurants for food and drinks. After dinner, we visited this restaurant.
From the hotel in front of the station, it’s just a little over 10 minutes of walking along a spacious and straight road. The interior of the restaurant is long-shaped, with enough space for about 30 people to sit. However, since it’s a weekday, there are only two groups of customers already seated. I thought that might be too few, but since we came from such a long distance, we decided to enjoy our meal as planned.

First, add the pâté. Once the pâté runs out, add cold noodle chips and then order the craft beer in sequence.
The first drink was a Kveik IPA. It used Norwegian yeast and a combination of hops from New Zealand called Motueka. This beer had a light yet distinctive aroma, making it stand out.
I ordered two types of lagers from this restaurant: the Fresh Hop Lager and the Sango No Shimahi Glow Lager. The Fresh Hop Lager features a distinctive flavor typical of this season, using fresh hops harvested in Shizukiishi, a local town in Iwate Prefecture. The Glow Lager was a limited edition product commemorating the 10th anniversary of friendship between Uruma City, a sister city in Morioka, and our restaurant. It has a clear taste, fitting for lagers in the Lager style category.
Finally, I ordered a Grapefruit IPA. In terms of style, it’s a light beer with a clear lager base, combined with the strong aroma of IPA. It uses a wide variety of ingredients, so the taste of the grapefruit is well-preserved. The beer has a distinct combination of beer flavor and fruit taste.
I arrived at a late hour and stayed in the shop for about one and a half hours before leaving.
Although it’s a bit far from the station, you can enjoy craft beer served from taps at an affordable price. So it’s definitely a recommended place for those who like it.
