Nara has a sushi chain called Futago-san, located in Daishi, Oosawa.
It says "Osaka Yakiniku", but this is a company from Tokyo. The stores are mainly located in Kanto region; there are only a few shops in Kansai area, specifically in Osaka and Nara. This area has a vibe similar to that of Tanaka's yakiniku restaurants—it’s like an importation of Osaka culture into this region.
This is a style of "the staff cooks the meat" that simply does not exist in any barbecue restaurants in Osaka.
Not only are there various types of meat available, but there is also a rich variety of hormones. It’s a feature that makes this restaurant stand out—it offers both beef and pork meat.
ホッピー・スタート。ホッピーが存在するこの地点は、すでに東京発祥の場所ですね。
Starting with the famous "Futago Maki", two pieces of pork belly and pork satay each. This is a set recommended by Futago that includes hormones.
The staff member bakes the food carefully right in front of me. When it's ready to be eaten, they place it at the edge of the rack.
The pork brisket is really good. It has a texture and flavor that make it hard to believe it's just pork.
Hoso has an extremely high amount of fat... If we consider this as human visceral fat, then it is definitely a lifestyle-related disease.
Next, there are karabin and upper red meat – well, these should be called “iron plates”. There’s no reason why they wouldn’t be good.
Other side dishes include namsul mixed with potato salad, and potato chips are also added to the potato salad, creating a crispy texture. The namsul is made with boiled wakabira and komatsuna, which work wonderfully together.
The second half was served with red wine, minced meat, ribeye, and organ meats. The minced meat was completely free of any odor, and the preparation was flawless.
The lever is similar.
This dish is said to be a spicy ramen made with the broth from the tail soup.
The spiciness and taste were truly excellent.
I really liked it. I would like to visit this place in Tokyo as well.
Thank you for your hospitality.
