Standing in the quiet residential area of Nishiamabu, "Piaoxi" is like a separate world, completely detached from the hustle and bustle of the city. The moment you pass through the entrance, you are immediately enveloped in a crisp atmosphere, and a sense of natural elongation spreads throughout your body.
This day, I used this restaurant for a dinner event. The room I was guided to was quiet and private. Through the sliding doors, soft light filtered in, and the modest decorations helped to relax my mind. Without being disturbed by conversations, the attentive hospitality was truly outstanding.
The dishes are a genuine Kyoto-style kaiseki meal, as if you were dining at a traditional Kyoto restaurant. Every dish is meticulously prepared, and the savory umami of the broth that brings out the best from the ingredients is truly impressive. Among them, the bowls are particularly flavorful, leaving a lingering aftertaste that makes one want to close their eyes and savor the taste.
The beauty of the dishes and their presentation captivates the heart. This is precisely what one experiences when enjoying food with all five senses. It’s an ideal place to spend quiet moments with loved ones in a luxurious setting.
It was a place that made me want to visit again, even as the season changed.
