Standing on the back streets of Akihabara is the popular barbecue restaurant “Yasuno”. This time, I had an A-set meal (Ichi-bo and Harami / ¥2,090) for lunch. It was a very satisfying experience.
Firstly, the luxurious combination of ichibo and harami really raised my expectations. However, the quality truly exceeded those expectations. The ichibo had an exquisite fat content, making it melt in the mouth with a soft texture. The harami, on the other hand, had a rich umami flavor while being surprisingly tender. As you chew more, the taste of the meat became even more pronounced. Both cuts were cooked perfectly, highlighting the true merits of the meat itself.
The set meal includes rice, miso soup, small dishes, and pickles. Both the balance and the quantity are excellent. The rice is delicious, and it complements the meat very well. Each item is carefully prepared, and I could sense that there was no sloppiness in the service, despite being a lunch meal.
And what is particularly noteworthy is the personality of the manager. She spoke in a friendly manner from behind the counter, and she kindly shared interesting information about the meat and recommended ways to enjoy it. The service was conducted at an appropriate distance, which made the atmosphere very comfortable. It’s understandable why there are so many regular customers here.
The interior of the restaurant is clean and inviting, with a warm atmosphere characterized by wooden textures. There are also many counter seats, which makes it convenient to dine alone without any concerns.
The price seems slightly high for lunch, but considering the quality of the food, I feel that the cost-performance ratio is actually very good. This restaurant is highly recommended not only to those who enjoy meat dishes, but also to anyone who wants to enjoy a good meal with excellent service and a pleasant atmosphere.
