Today was a day for walking in Shonan.
What came here is this sushi restaurant.
The location is in a corner of a shopping street, about 5 minutes' walk from the south entrance of JR Maomachi Station.
The charm of a traditional town sushi restaurant from the past.
Recently, eating chira shushi at local sushi restaurants has become my favorite hobby.
This visit is also an opportunity to enjoy that, I guess.
This is a sushi restaurant in the town. In line with current circumstances, the doors are left wide open.
At the store, they also sell bento boxes. Of course, they don't do that usually.
Last time, we also sold wraps in a pack format.
Each restaurant is striving to do what it can best.
Step through the warm curtain into the interior of the restaurant.
Inside the restaurant, along the boardwalk on the left hand side, there are five counter seats.
In the center, there is one table for four people. To the right, there are two small round tables for four people each.
There are no customers ahead of time.
I decided to sit on the counter side of the restaurant.
The restaurant is run by a married couple, the wife and her husband.
During my stay, it was solely the staff of the restaurant that handled everything.
I will receive the menu and will consider it for a while.
In addition to the sushi menu, there are also kimonoyaki bento, ten-don, and Western-style dishes.
There are also menu options for lunch boxes and bento.
Actually, this restaurant is located right nearby.
Culinary Paradise IwataIt is also the main branch of this restaurant.
Cooking Paradise IwataYour son is taking care of the business, isn't he?
Therefore, that bento is also sold on the storefront.
Not only is the bento sold at the store, but also my parents and son work together to...
They are desperately trying to overcome this difficult situation.
During the journey, your son came by to replenish the bento.
After spending some time looking at the menu,
・瓶ビール 500円
・上ちらし 1900円
・8%の消費税 200円
Total: 2600 yen
I decided to order this.
This restaurant follows a system where the consumption tax is 8% both inside the store and outside it.
This day's offerings are as follows:
・ボトルビール
This is a medium-sized bottle of Asahi Super Dry.
Serve in a glass in the style of Chosō.
・お通し 0円
How surprising, they even served the Matsumae pickled food as an appetizer.
If such an impressive dish comes with free, then it's definitely worth it (^^)/
・上ちらし
Serve in a red-colored dosa.
The amount of vinegar rice was quite substantial. It seemed to be around 300 grams.
The vinegar rice itself had a standard taste and lacked any distinctive characteristics.
The items on top include boiled shrimp, 2 pieces of sweet shrimp, child-bearing kelp, and octopus.
3個の中トロ、真鯛、椎茸、蓮根、2個の玉子焼き、2個の蒲鉾
Nara saké, wasabi, dashi, wasaabira.
Starting with my favorite dish, the boiled abalone, there were even three pieces of medium-sized seafood in the meal. It was truly a tear-jerking experience.
However, apart from that, there were not many seafood items available.
Even so, I think the menu priced at 1,900 yen is satisfactory.
The restaurant was only occupied by me and the manager, so we spent all our time talking together.
The restaurant has a history of 50 years.
The location remains exactly the same.
To have been in the food industry for half a century is truly amazing.
Since we are dealing with customers, it's also important to be careful about relationships with neighboring businesses.
Firstly, it must be a business that can function as a legitimate enterprise.
As a person working in a restaurant, it's essential to pay attention to one's health.
Your son will not continue this sushi restaurant.
Cooking Paradise IwataIt seems that from now on, the Yawata family will continue to maintain their catering business.
Even so, the owner of the restaurant is still very healthy.
I believe this sushi restaurant will also continue to strive for at least another few decades (^^)
Overcome this difficult situation.
Thank you for your hospitality! (As of April 2020, no points were awarded.)
