I have been invited to this restaurant for the first time.
Located near Oshin Tenkou, the surrounding area can be a bit noisy. But once you climb up the elevator and cross the warm gate, you enter a different world. A tranquil Japanese-style space unfolds before you.
Overall, it has a casual atmosphere that makes it easy to enter. However, the extremely polite service of the staff left a strong impression on me.
Please also ask about the ingredients that you may find difficult to handle, as well as the use of wasabi. I believe this restaurant is suitable for dining occasions such as dates of engagement, business meetings, or hospitality events.
This time, I received a menu titled "Sushis and Tengunofu Ryō – Special Dinner".
Like all the courses, it starts with an appetizer and continues until dessert. The menu features sushi, tempura, and one-piece dishes, creating a consistently interesting and engaging experience.
・Appetizers
Taste is a bit stronger in the four types of side dishes served together. This dish is perfect for pairing with alcohol. Personally, I was happy to see that there were Matsushiro pickled foods included.
The last dish I received was a sweet-and-sour oyster (raw), and it was impressive that there was also mountain pepper added to the sauce.
・茶器
This dish contains whale meat that has been cooked to a point where it resembles shishu. It's a rare type of soup. It's definitely something that whale lovers won't be able to resist.
・価格とキャビア入りの小丼
A luxurious dish that allows you to eat an enormous amount of your favorite food.
I tasted shari here for the first time. It's a type of sushi with a bright vinegar flavor, quite sour. There's no sweetness like that of Kansai sushi, but it doesn't have any unpleasant taste either, so anyone should be able to enjoy it deliciously.
The price was reasonable, and the portion was satisfactory. The chewy texture was very good.
・4コの寿司
(Kohada, Golden Thresher Fish, Sardines, Octopus)
The shari is of a small size, suitable for women who prefer eating it in a more comfortable manner.
The cutlet has a just-right thickness, allowing you to fully enjoy both the texture and flavor of the fish. It follows the traditional Edo-style cooking method, so you can eat it as it is served. However, depending on the type of cutlet, some may require a little salt added to them. The process of preparing the dish is quite meticulous, from the initial sweet salt taste to the natural flavors of the fish and soy sauce.
It was also good that we were able to enjoy a scallop with rich fatty meat during the peak season, combined with wisteria.
There are two types of Gari, so I tried both. It seemed that the Gari with red vinegar was suitable for Kohada and Thun, while the Gari with white vinegar was suitable for Kinmoku and Carrot.
・Chawan Mushi
This is a butter-flavored dish made with scallop stems. It has a slightly loose filling on top, along with a touch of black pepper. At first, I thought it was some kind of tea steamed food with butter… But its flavor is a mix of Japanese and Western elements, and it’s actually quite delicious.
Inside, there were small glutins and ginkgo nuts as well. With just this one item, I felt like I had fully enjoyed the winter season.
・Tempeh
(Carrot shrimp, golden tuna, broccoli, sweet potato)
A style of serving where you can add salt and lemon, or curry salt, as desired. I chose to eat it with just broccoli, using curry salt. The batter is very light and fluffy, so it seems like you could use a large amount of ingredients. It’s wonderful that they bring the fried items out right when you ask for them, at the perfect moment.
・Fried scallops
Unlike the tempura mentioned earlier, this dish has a slightly thicker texture. The wrapper is crispy, and it combines perfectly with fluffy abalone.
Please serve the radish oroshi generously.
The noodles soaked in the broth have a rich flavor, and they are also delicious.
・Sushi 4 kanzan (Hirame, Hon Makurabushi Chuo Toro, Kusuda, Ukine)
Like a Star Army, all of these are items I really like.
The cloud-dan was handed over hand-to-hand.
・玉
Smooth, sweet-like eggs
・Red broth
Blueness and softness
A serving size that's just right, perfect for the finish.
・Seasonal fruits and matcha
Finally, the fruits are a plus for women. The matcha also has a concentration that can be enjoyed as a slightly stronger green tea. It leaves a refreshing taste in the mouth after the meal.
This menu is designed for those who prefer to enjoy their meals in small portions rather than consuming a large amount of sushi at once. It’s recommended for people who want to enjoy their alcohol while also taking their time to taste the dishes.
This time, I ordered red wine in a glass, while the person accompanying me drank non-alcoholic beer.
As for the types of alcoholic beverages, there were draft beer, bottled beer, high-ball beers, shochu hi, Japanese sake, shōji, wine, champagne, and sparkling wine. In addition to regular soft drinks, there were also juices from Alain Millia’s brand available. This should ensure that a wide range of people can be satisfied.
Even on the way out, they treated me with great kindness and consideration. I felt very comforted.
