This time, it's a tour of different countries' cuisines.
This is a Brazilian restaurant that exists precisely because there are many Japanese-Brazilians in Okaya.
Located right next to IoMall, this restaurant operates alongside a Brazilian supermarket.
As the name suggests, the main dish here is Brazilian-style “donburi”. In addition, there are set meals and hamburgers available.
Brazilian cuisine's greatness lies, above all, in its massive portion size.
I have experienced Brazilian-style meals with incredibly large portions before, but even the sizes of the bowls here are truly impressive…
This donburi offers a high degree of flexibility, allowing you to add toppings according to your preference to enhance the experience. What's more impressive is that it features rare ingredients such as Biaou de Dóis, Bakaljau, Dobraljina, and Pikajinho, which are quite hard to find elsewhere.
There are also buffet-style meals that serve national dishes, such as feijoada. It seems that places with such comprehensive offerings are quite limited.
It's a small restaurant, but I think it's a really amazing place.
The item ordered on this day was,
Yes.
Picanjino is a Brazilian dish of stewed meat and vegetables. Here, it is described as "Hayaishi Rice," likely referring to the serving dish used for this dish.
The construction is excellent, and this restaurant cannot be underestimated.
It's more of a beef stew rather than a Hayaishi-style restaurant.
The meat was mushy and soft, with no notable taste characteristics.
The taste and quality are just as normal as those offered in proper Western-style restaurants.
The rice contains long-grain rice mixed in. Normally, Brazilian restaurants use only Japanese rice, but this is really impressive.
This is surprising. How much cheese is there in total!?
Covered in cheese, it’s so dense that you can’t see anything below at all.
It was so abundant that I thought it was some kind of cheese sauce or something, but when I tasted it, it turned out to be pure cheese.
I hope Japanese restaurants can learn from those Japanese places that simply add a little bit of cheese to their pizza.
When visiting a Brazilian restaurant, this bean soup (feijoada) is an essential dish.
A simple taste, eaten with beans, salt, and garlic. This dish really goes well with rice.
On the table, it was written “Orders can be made by scanning the QR code”. But when I tried to do so, an error occurred, and in the end, I had to place my order verbally.
There doesn’t seem to be much emphasis on the atmosphere; it’s quite simple.
Ordering a "donburi" and a bean soup costs only around 1300 yen, which is a reasonable price for a Brazilian restaurant.
