At the Biapabukkamden South Ikebukuro branch, after spontaneously having a zero-night gathering, we moved to the west entrance of Ikebukuro Station!
November 26th (Thursday) – This was the second restaurant we visited, which served as the main venue for our “mini get-together” on that day! We made an advance reservation at “Kokutou Shuzuke Ao Moriya” in Ikebukuro Station West Gate. It was our first attempt at this restaurant.
At 7 p.m., as I descended the stairs and entered the restaurant, I noticed that it was quite spacious and modern. It was a newly opened establishment, having opened in August. There were already a number of customers inside.
So, with a one-hour unlimited drink service costing 790 yen (including taxes), we started a little banquet. In the end, we spent 600 yen + taxes for four people’s seats. So, it wasn’t really a discount experience at all… It was a bit of a disappointment. Well, the total bill didn’t get too high.
Of course, the first sake I tried was "Rokkon" pure malt! And the second sake I drank was "Inamuraya" special pure malt! There were other sake I tried as well, but I can't really remember them anymore orz.
However, a hour passes by in a flash, so it’s a challenge to not drink too much while chatting, huh…
However, after the initial drink (which seems to be included in the 600 yen seat fee), you should order a separate drink.
“Saba smoked pot salad” (750 yen + tax), “Ankou mo aea” (photo blurred, 590 yen + tax), “Shijimi dashi roll” (690 yen + tax), etc. were ordered, and paired with Japanese sake.
After that, the main dishes—“Four Kinds of Mutton Tenderloins” (four kinds of meat: red meat, frosted meat, futaeko, and taetagami, priced at 1800 yen plus tax) and “Large Tuna Steak” (photo taken but forgotten)—were both delicious, considering their price.
Finally, the meal concluded with “Suzuki’s Yuzukiso” (750 yen + tax)! We spent over 2 hours enjoying the food, and the total cost per person was approximately 3500 yen. Personally, I would have preferred to pay an additional fee to taste other fine wines like taizu. Overall, my rating is ☆3.4!
