Near the Daimon Station, there's a Japanese sake store that opened last year and has a great selection of products. I was intrigued by the "Sake and Delicacies Combination" menu, so I chose this course. Here's a summary of what I ordered.
・酒と料理を組み合わせた一品
Today's dishes: grilled tuna, mixed vegetables with mayonnaise, sweet rice wine, creme cheese with heshiko, pickled cabbage with vinegar, smoked duck, scallop with sesame sauce, and pickled sea cucumber with fried shrimp.
There are 10 varieties. They appear at the beginning of the course, but you can enjoy them slowly, keeping them aside until the end, and then pairing with various types of alcohol. It’s a combination that offers a variety of experiences.
・White Kombu-roasted Swordfish
Japanese sake is often paired with grilled fish, but this season, we prefer taiko fish. It develops a rich and complex flavor when made with white koji. The yuzu miso served alongside is also very tasty.
・Clams, fresh young shoots, cooked together
When I open the lid of the bowl, there's something that stands out more than the main ingredients. It makes me feel happy. It reminds me of spring.
・Sakura Ebi Fried, Lion Tang, Lemon
A soft and flavorful shinsjo. The Japanese sake continues to flow.
・Handmade herring smoked
The glassware is a refreshing addition to the dish. The smoky aroma further encourages me to drink more alcohol.
・Local chicken cooked into rice dish with fragrant ingredients, served in a bowl
Served with cooked rice. The dishes from beginning to end of the meal made me feel like I was in spring.

On this day, the alcohol served was Japanese sake from the very beginning to the end. For the opening toast, we drank beer, but thereafter, we only consumed Japanese sake. This happened several times on this day. The owner, who is a master of Japanese sake, prepared a variety of carefully selected Japanese sake for us to enjoy.

I can order one type of sake at a time, but there is also a set that allows me to enjoy about three types of sake by comparing them. I chose the set "Experience Rare Sakes". You can drink "Shichida 14th Generation Medium Washi Pure Rice Unfiltered", "Hifureki Freshly Pressed Kasaomi Sake", and "Kyoukin Special Washi Pure Rice Nigori". These are sake that are characteristic of this season. I felt the scent of spring in these sake.
As single items, the following Japanese sake are available for selection: from those with a light taste to those with a rich and full flavor, and also those that have undergone aging. With such a wide variety of products, I believe this is a store that can satisfy people who enjoy various types of Japanese sake.
