An ideal place to stop along your shopping or sightseeing trip, with a calm and Kyoto-style atmosphere. ^_^
This time, I ordered the restaurant’s signature dish, ‘Hitsumibushi’. When I opened the lid of the serving plate, I saw a pile of fragrant grilled eels laid out neatly. The aroma of charcoal fire was tempting enough to stimulate my appetite. ^_^
First, I tasted the eel grilled on its own with rice. The surface was crispy, while the inside was tender. The flavor of the eel spread in my mouth. The sweet and spicy sauce paired perfectly with the rice, making it impossible to stop eating. ^_^
Next, I added seasonings like green onions, wasabi, and seaweed. This made the eel’s fat more refreshing, allowing me to enjoy a different taste experience. Finally, I topped it with the broth and served it as a tea pickle. It was easy to eat, so even when my stomach was full, I managed to finish everything. ^_^
Hitsumibushi allows you to enjoy three different ways of eating in one meal. It’s truly a luxury experience. I had the pleasure of savoring the deliciousness of the eel to the fullest. If you visit Kyoto, be sure to stop by this famous restaurant. Thank you for the meal! ^_^
