On those hot days that resembled a true summer day, I thought cold tangyuan noodles would be perfect for lunch. So I ordered cold tangyuan noodles, with a request to make them extra spicy. I ordered them in a large portion.
It takes about 10 minutes to serve.
Both the noodles and the soup are thoroughly chilled, offering a refreshing sensation from the first bite. It's truly delightful on such days.
The amount of noodles was set to "Large", so there's plenty of food to satisfy my needs. (^^)
The soup is a rich variety with an abundance of sesame paste, featuring a quite strong spiciness. However, the numbing effect of mountain pepper was kept to a minimum. Since I requested it to be "spicy," it seems that only the spicy flavors from chili peppers were added.
The sourness is quite effective, which personally suits my taste. However, the sweetness was stronger than I expected, and that was a bit of a concern.
However, it's a pleasant drink on a hot day.
Thank you for your hospitality!

When I used this restaurant before, both the name of the restaurant and the color of the sign were significantly different. So, I thought there must have been a new restaurant opened. However, it seems that only the interior has been renovated as a private dining room, while the food itself hasn’t changed. At least the lunch menu is still the same as before...
Well, the lunch I chose for this day was Nagasaki Chomp. The menu doesn’t list a "large serving" option; instead, it says that if you only have enough noodles, you can add a half-Cha-Han for an additional 200 yen. Without thinking, I added a half-Cha-Han to the order.
Since it was still a short time after the restaurant opened at 11 o’clock, I could tell from the sounds coming from the kitchen that the chaat pans are not prepared in advance. Instead, they start making them only after receiving an order. (^^)
約15分後に、半チャーハンが提供されました。その後さらに2分ほど経ってから、長崎ちゃんぽんが提供されました。
First, take a bite of the chaat. It's hot and has a crumbly texture. The saltiness is quite moderate, but the taste is just okay. As for chaat served as a set meal with noodles in a continental Chinese restaurant, this is quite good.
On the other hand, the main dish was filled with plenty of vegetables, especially cabbage. For someone who tends to miss out on vegetables during regular dining out, this was a great relief. Although it couldn’t compare to the taste of specialized restaurants, the soup and noodles were definitely delicious. The saltiness was a bit strong, and the noodles were slightly soft. However, these are just personal preferences.
The interior of the restaurant has changed significantly compared to before the renovation. It is divided into multiple semi-private areas of different sizes. So, even a single person like me won’t be able to sit at a large round table and share a table with others as we used to do. I feel that the atmosphere here is much more comfortable now. I’m considering using it for banquets in the future.
Thank you for your hospitality.

After the typhoon passed, the heat that resembled summer (or even hotter than summer) returned. Since I wanted to eat something cold, I came across a sign for “cold tangy noodles” at a nearby restaurant, so I decided to enter this place.
It was a little after 12 o’clock when I opened the door and stepped into the restaurant. The place seemed quite empty. Since there was only one person, I was guided to the round table at the back of the restaurant.
I made my order by looking at the sign outside. I chose the cold tangy noodles. I asked for a larger portion, with an additional 100 yen.
While waiting for the finished product, suddenly I noticed a smell of tobacco coming from somewhere. Looking at the table, I saw a metal ashtray placed beside the seasonings. Oh no… I somehow entered this place that allows smoking without even realizing it.
Fortunately, the smoke wasn’t unbearable. So, I decided to eat as soon as the food was served and then leave the restaurant. I simply waited there.
Since the table was empty, it took about 5 minutes for the cold tangy noodles to be served. The dish was placed in a glass bowl, with noodles on top, and vegetables centered around the green peas. The soup was a reddish-brownish cloudy liquid. Overall, the appearance resembled a cold Chinese dish.
I will receive it right away. Although I don't have much experience in discussing cold tangyuan noodles, I find that different restaurants offer quite interesting variations. This isn't a traditional cold tangyuan noodle; rather, it's a sweet-and-sour soy sauce-based soup for cold Chinese food, which is seasoned with chili oil and Sichuan peppercorns to enhance the flavor. The creamy texture of white sesame adds an extra layer of richness, along with a spicy and numbing taste—truly delicious! The noodles are thin and firm, perfect for my preference.
It was extremely delicious, and I even finished the soup completely. The only thing I regret is that smoking is allowed throughout the entire place.
Thank you for your hospitality!
※ The restaurant does not provide any designated smoking areas; customers are allowed to smoke anywhere. There is no signage indicating this at the entrance of the store. Therefore, I have deducted points from the service-related items. (Those who are heavy smokers might be able to earn extra points, though…)
