Located a little away from the noise of the Tokyo Station underground street, there is "Tokyo Stall" at "Kita-machi Dining". This place is an oasis where you can enjoy authentic Chinese cuisine with fast service, even during busy times.
This time, the menu item that was chosen has a powerful impact right from its name: "麻辣チキンパイコー麺".
Just a few minutes after the order is placed, that cup of drink arrives. First and foremost, its appearance is extremely impressive.
On the red-hot soup, a huge chicken cutlet stands proudly. Just the sight of this fried meat alone makes one feel like adrenaline is surging within them. The soup exudes the unique aroma of chili peppers and the pungent scent of Sichuan peppercorns, instantly stimulating appetite.
First, take a sip of the soup.
This dish is infused with the rich flavors of tuna broth and chicken bone base. The spiciness and numbing sensation of the chili sauce come together in a perfect balance. However, it’s not overly spicy. The harmony between umami and spice makes it a truly addictive dish tailored to Japanese palates.
Next is the main dish, chicken cutlets. The batter is crispy and fragrant when fried, while the meat is juicy. When these cutlets are immersed in the hot spicy soup, the batter absorbs the soup's flavor, allowing us to enjoy both the crisp texture of the batter and the juicy texture of the meat.
And, I chew the noodles. I vigorously chew the chewy noodles that are well-marinated with the spicy soup. In no time, my mouth is filled with a sensation of heat and deliciousness.
As I continued eating, the savory taste of the meat that had dissolved from Pico’s dough merged with the oil, enriching the soup and enhancing its texture.
It's good to enjoy the crispy chicken in its original state, or to soak it in soup and transform it into a smooth texture. This "change in texture and taste depending on how you eat it" is the greatest charm of Pai Ko noodles.
The combination of spicy flavor and rich chicken taste creates a truly satisfying experience. One can finish the bowl completely in one go, resulting in a high level of satisfaction.

Today's lunch is "Spicy Chicken Pie Noodles"! What a fascinating name! I can't wait to try it!
First of all, the appearance! A red soup, with fried chicken on top! This is something that definitely stimulates adrenaline!
Take a sip of the soup... The numbing, spicy flavor of chili is overwhelming in the mouth! But behind that, there lies the delicious umami and richness of chicken! This刺激,真是让人难以忍受啊!
チキンパイコー!揚げたて、本当に熱々だね!「ガブリ!」衣はサクサク!中のチキンはジューシー!この香ばしさが、麻辣の刺激と絶妙にマッチするんだよ!
This spicy soup, chicken, and noodles together… it’s just unbearable! My chopsticks can’t stay still at all!
Spicy Chicken Pie! It's absolutely amazing!!

At Tokyo Station, we managed to get a lunch meal for less than 1,000 yen.
The number of seats is large, and the rotation is fast, making it easy to get in.
And above all, that huge piece of meat.
It comes with rice, and it's absolutely delicious. It fills the stomach completely.
Next time, I would like to go drinking at night.
