While walking aimlessly, I came across a stylishly designed restaurant. It seems to serve Malaysian cuisine. Yeah, let's give it a try and enter.
The meaning of "Kobitiam" seems to be "coffee" and "store". In other words, it refers to a coffee shop, or something similar to a café.
There are four types of lunches available. There’s also a famous restaurant in Kamiya-cho called “Hainan Chicken Rice”. I haven’t tried any of the other options yet.
Since the order is placed before cooking begins, it takes some time for the chicken rice to be cooked. The freshly cooked dish is really good.

It was not clear whether the food was freshly cooked. However, the waiter's comment that the sambal might have become a bit too spicy suggests a sense of handcraftsmanship in the preparation.
The rice was cooked with coconut milk, so it tastes delicious even without any side dishes. It's just ordinary Japanese rice.
This curry is chicken curry, and it also has a subtle coconut milk flavor. It falls into the same category as red curries from Thailand and Bangladesh. The chicken is very tender.
Well, this is the much-anticipated Sambal. It’s indeed spicy, but not to the point where you have to shout “Hee!” The spice is quite mild and refreshing. The onions used as ingredients help to balance out the spiciness. It’s served in a relga container. I really wish there were bigger containers available so I could eat more. It’s delicious.
The side dish, fried shrimp, is really good. It seems like a perfect accompaniment to the alcoholic drink. The taste has a rich and satisfying flavor.
All dishes on the "One Plate" menu are delicious. The chicken soup is also great. Overall, I can truly feel the Malaysian influence in this restaurant. I’ve never been there before.
Thank you for your hospitality. The staff were also very kind. It sounds like a great place to have a party.
