Let's go to a delicious restaurant in Omi for a celebration! I chose "Yakis Koushin" in Omi. I think many people who commute outside of the prefecture feel that Omi is far away, but it's actually only 30 minutes from Tokyo Station. The travel time from Tokyo to Mitaka or Nakahonoko is roughly the same!

From the third plate, we started with grilled meat! First, we tried comparing the textures of beef tenderloins cut into thin slices and those cut into strips. The thin-sliced pieces were quickly grilled on a charbroiler, then seasoned with rock salt and plum vinegar. Yummy! The strips were grilled until their surfaces became crispy, allowing the juices to be retained inside the meat. The contrast between the crisp surface and the juicy interior was absolutely delicious!

This time, I ordered a large slice of sirloin for grilled shabu. The staff at the restaurant skillfully grilled the meat on a grill. The process was truly reminiscent of shabu shabu. I really like the term “grilled shabu”. The meat was easy to eat and was rolled into a roll. Then, it was directly served with eggs… It was a delicious taste that melted in the mouth!
