A restaurant in Aomori's market that delivers fresh and delicious fish, a feature of its flagship store number one.
The fish was really delicious. ✌
Steak of fish, itoyori, salmon, herring—thickly sliced, what a pleasure! (^_-)♡
Especially the itoyori and kawahagi are types of sashimi that are not often seen. It’s no wonder they’re called “big fish” – the fish, hida, and white shrimp were really delicious! ❗❤
I asked the staff at this restaurant. They said that the "Stork and Turnip Sennbei-ju" from Aomori is a local dish of Aomori, and it is the main menu of the restaurant. ✌
I thought it was for putting osebenshi in it, but osebenshi-jyū is a local dish where soy sauce is made from ingredients like meat, fish, mushrooms, and vegetables. Then, "Minami osebenshi" is mixed into the sauce and cooked together to be eaten.
It seems that this dish is commonly prepared in the southern part of Aomori Prefecture, including the city of Hachioo.
Southernせんべいは、小麦粉と塩を材料にして作られる汁物用の食品です。煮込んでも柔らかくならず、モチモチとした食感がまるでお餅のようです。
The Tohoku region, covered in snow, must be a perfect place for nutritious and beneficial dishes during winter. ✌
Aomori has senbei-ju, New York has neppae-ju, and Akita has Kiritantanpo. Local dishes each have their own unique characteristics and offer interesting flavors.
