Due to the extension of the "Emergency State Declaration" in Okinawa, the New Paradise Street "Hakutake Mountain" has updated its lunch menu. We went there to check it out.
Regarding gyinjikkan, the previous "Ebete Project" was truly outstanding and had a strong impact. However, starting from this time, the menu has become a "meal-only" option costing around 1,500 yen. Therefore, I chose to try the "Hakutō Mountain Curry (880 yen)" instead. It comes with a salad and soup.
“使用されているのは黒毛和牛”という記載があります。ジンギスカンを提供しているお店なので、マトンカレーだと思いましたが、実際はこのお店の運営母体である会社が久茂地にあります。“Nikuku Sashiki”Since you are involved in that work, it seems to be a matter of compatibility with your involvement, right?
The meat isn’t as chunky as some other options, but it’s still more than just a frozen meal. It’s a moderate amount of beef curry. However, there’s no need to strictly stick to black beef; lamb, mutton, or even non-brand beef can be used instead. This approach allows for a menu that’s rich in ingredients, making it a good option for those who prefer a more substantial meal.

Naahama City, "New Paradise Street". Previously a ramen restaurant, and later became a "Black Beef Specialty Grill". Now it has become a restaurant specializing in yakiniku. The word "beef" on the wall has been changed to "Sheihei Mountain", but it seems to be still run by the same management team. The atmosphere and facilities inside the store remain unchanged.
At the counter... a seven-stick grill was brought out, and the meat was grilled using a grill net. The meat was said to be directly shipped from Hokkaido. First, we ordered the "Ginshuikan Set" (1,480 yen). It was mentioned that this order was a must. After that, we could also order other menu items. We started with a raw beer called Oriodraft (500 yen).
The meat consists of 120 grams of lamb shoulder loin. It is cut into thin slices, with about 10 pieces. Rather than being seasoned, it seems to be of the raw yakiniku type. The taste can be enjoyed with a sauce. Considering its size, it can be said that the meat has relatively little fat. As for the vegetables, jabba butter is wrapped in foil and served alongside the meat.
Previously, it was a barbecue restaurant. So, they use a seven-wick stove and a grilling net method. It’s not the Jingizkan pot that I expected. Especially, the vegetables don’t have the Jingizkan flavor at all. This is more like a barbecue restaurant where we eat grilled vegetables with sauce. Of course, when I think of Jingizkan, I imagine the vegetables being fragrant because of the sheep fat that dripped from the Jingizkan pot on the edges. That’s exactly what I wanted to experience.
Next, "Mutton meat (100 grams: 880 yen)" was added. This is mutton in the form of dice-like pieces. When cooked, it resembles shirokohoromono. The taste is similar to that of lamb, with less fat and a more refreshing flavor.
At the restaurant, as part of the opening campaign, I received a half portion of "handmade lamb hamburger". The staff explained that it had juicy meat juices. However, it wasn't really juicy meat juices at all; rather, it was a hamburger with a greasy texture, as if fat had accumulated in the patty.
It's good that credit cards are accepted for additional orders, allowing for a variety of choices.
In total, the price including tax is 3.146 yen. Since this is originally a high-end beef restaurant, there seems to be a rise in the price of mutton recently. Therefore, the price for just mutton might not be as low as expected.
“羊蹄山茶碗カレー(500円)”やサイドメニューにも気になるものがいくつかあります。しかし、まずジンギスカンセットオーダーシステムを利用する場合、そこまでたどり着けない人もいるのでは?とも思います。
We preferred a set menu approach, as we wanted to emphasize the Ginzikun-style atmosphere. Therefore, the points for cost and ambiance are slightly lower. For grilled meat dishes, it's convenient to be able to use credit cards for additional orders.
