This restaurant is located about 5 minutes' walk from Honmachi Station, on the north side of Nanba Shrine. It opened in November 2024 and is a popular eatery with a rating of 3.37 on Eatlog. Here, you can enjoy set meals until 15:00, and the same price applies for evening meals until 21:00. This is an ideal place for single working men who are tired from their day-to-day routines. I visited here with a colleague on a weekday lunchtime.
Both the interior and exterior are simple yet stylish in a Japanese style. There’s a sense of openness, making it easy for even one woman to feel comfortable entering.
The interior of the restaurant consists of two tables and a counter.
The lunch options include five different types of menu items, including rotating weekly selections. The cheapest option costs 1,000 yen or so; considering the current situation, this is a fairly average price.
I ordered the "Today's Steamed Fish Set" for 1,600 yen, and my colleague ordered the "Today's Grilled Fish Set" for 1,100 yen.
The menu items include rice, miso soup, the main course, bonito swordfish, a small plate of obanzai, and pickles. There are enough options for everyone.
The number one pleasure is the rice cooked in a earthen pot!
This month, we use Kamachi-grown Koshihikari rice.
First, take a bite of the rice alone.
Ah〜, definitely delicious~◎
It's fresh and delicious, yet it has a distinct graininess. When chewed, the umami and sweetness of the rice are fully appreciated. If there was salt, it would be absolutely perfect! (Laugh)
The main dish of fish is kaya. It has a moderate thickness, and the texture is very smooth. ◎I really want to eat more...
The rice is available for free to be added to your meal, but since it's lunchtime, you should be a bit more modest and refrain from adding too much. My colleague prepared grilled fish, which was made with salmon.
The friendly and kind young owner of the restaurant kindly asked customers to move their seats, which made me feel like I was waiting for someone. He has a great personality, and I really hope he continues to work hard.
A great restaurant that can be recommended.
Once again, I have caused you some inconvenience. Thank you for your hospitality.

This restaurant is located about 5 minutes' walk from Honmachi Station, on the north side of Nanba Shrine. It's still open, and it has a rating of 3.23 on Yumiko☆. They serve set meals until 7 PM, and the same price applies for dinner in the evening. This is a great place for single working men who enjoy set meals. I visited again during the day.

The order was for the "grilled fish set meal" that we had decided to have next time. The fish options include silver salmon, cod, and salted herring. The silver salmon costs 1,400 yen (I think the prices may vary).
The set meal includes rice, miso soup, main course, two small dishes of bannazai, and pickles. The variety is sufficient. ◎

It's fresh and vibrant, yet it has a distinct graininess. When chewed, the umami and sweetness of the rice are fully appreciated. If only salt was included... (Laugh)
The main silver salmon is prepared in a style known as “Nishikyō-yaki”. It has a moderate thickness, making it satisfying to eat. The fish is still hot when served, and the flavor is truly delicious….(I’m a little sad)As grilled fish, this dish was a great choice.
Since rice is available for free, of course, I was allowed to have extra. If I were young, I might have been able to have three cups, but I'm full after just two cups.
I had a pleasant and kind conversation with the young owner of the restaurant.
According to reviews, they were considering a service related to drinks. So, they received a drink service.
The person's character is also very good, so I hope they will work hard.
A great restaurant that we can recommend.

This restaurant is located about 5 minutes' walk from Honmachi Station, on the north side of Nanba Shrine. It's still open, and it has a rating of 3.2 on Yumelog. You can get a set meal for the same price until 7 PM. This is a great place for single working men who enjoy a meal at a reasonable price. I visited there around 1:30 PM on a weekday.

The order is decided to be "Sakuri! Egg Mayonnaise Set" for 1,100 yen.
The menu items include rice, miso soup, main course dishes, two small servings of side dishes, and pickles. The variety is sufficient.

Ah〜, I see now〜, it's really delicious〜◎
It's fresh and vibrant, yet it has a distinct graininess. When chewed, the umami and sweetness of the rice are fully appreciated. There's really nothing else needed… (laugh)
The main ingredient, eggplant mayonnaise, is made by frying eggplant with flour, then coating it with Aurora sauce. Fine fried spring peas are scattered over it, giving it a crisp and delicious texture. Since the rice is also very tasty, it's understandable that the main ingredient might get a bit soggy.
Perhaps it would have been better to choose a grilled fish that complemented the rice. But I'll keep this as a pleasant surprise for next time. Since the rice was available for free, of course, I had my portion increased.
It's great that such a good restaurant has been established. I would definitely visit again, whether it's during the day or at night. Thank you very much for the delicious food.
