Today was my wife’s birthday, so I thought we should go out for dinner somewhere. I made a reservation at 6:30 p.m. that day and arrived at 7:00 p.m. Unlike during weekends, the restaurant was completely empty—only a few customers were there. We went into a semi-private room on the left side of the restaurant as soon as we entered. To be honest, the air conditioning wasn’t working very well at all. It was extremely hot, and I really wanted to eat quickly and leave. Was it because there were fewer people in the restaurant that the air conditioning was turned up?
I ordered plum wine, and there was a large portion available. Next to it, there was something like liver cooked with mountain pepper sauce. It was soft and delicious. I also ordered liver grilled dishes. These were truly excellent and delicious. I also ordered umakiki. It was fluffy and very tasty.
I prefer yakiniku more than hitamabushi, so I ordered yakiniku. However, the skin of the eel felt a bit hard and I couldn’t bite it through. So, perhaps hitamabushi is still better.
The rice in the eel dilled dish was hard, and I thought it was perfectly suitable for eel dilled dishes.
The konjac stew that comes free with the meal is also delicious.
The iced tea is not changed to liver tea; the plain iced tea is actually delicious.
Overall, the food was delicious, but I still felt bothered by the fact that the restaurant was quite hot.
The temperature outside was not much different from what it was earlier, which was a disappointment.
I thought that a good restaurant pays close attention to such details.

I made a reservation for 11 o'clock on Mother's Day. The restaurant opened at 11 o'clock, but they didn't guide me to a seat before that time, so I had to wait in my car. Since I had made the reservation at 11 o'clock, it was fine for me. However, those who didn't make a reservation or couldn't do so had to come directly to the restaurant and write their names down on a notebook. By 11 o'clock, there were already about 10 couples who had written their names, and another 5 couples were waiting. At 11 o'clock, I was guided to a table inside the restaurant, where I could sit comfortably. I ordered "maru hitsubushi". It included tea bowl steamed fish, but I thought the price of 400 yen was a bit high. Surprisingly, it was served very quickly after I ordered it. The eel seemed a bit thin, but the cooking was excellent, and the taste was delicious. For the first bite, I ate it plain; for the second bite, I added seasonings; and for the third bite, I used tea pickles. You can order the broth for the tea pickles just before eating, so you can enjoy the hot broth. You can also add as many seasonings as you want. For the fourth bite, I ate it plain. It was delicious, but if you eat it in four parts, the eel becomes scattered, and it doesn't taste as good. I thought hitsubushi might be better than eel donburi. The rice came with 300g, so...It fills the stomach completely. Sopas and pickles are also included. At the end, a deep-steamed tea is served, marking the end of the meal. Whether the cooking method is good or not, the taste of the sauce is firmly absorbed into the eel, making it extremely delicious.
