2025年の仕事始め。チームの男性メンバー全員が揃ったので、昼食を取りに出かけました。
The Chinese restaurant that I often visited recently was very busy, so I couldn’t get in.
So, I decided to leave the Togano-mon 40MT Building and head towards the Rongcheng Garden here.
Fortunately, there was a vacant table that could accommodate four people. So, we were able to sit at it.
This restaurant also has a wide variety of menus.
And there’s also the dashi soba that I often order. But overall, the price has increased by nearly 50 yen.
Among them, I ordered the recommended set for that day: a Taiwanese ramen + mini fried rice set, priced at 850 yen.
The others ordered the same set as me; another person ordered a bonito ramen + mini fried rice set.
The remaining one person ordered the green pepper meat noodles set meal.
Well, the food was served quite quickly, without having to wait for as long as expected.
The interior is spacious and almost full, but the speed of service here is truly remarkable.
However, the issues lie with Taiwanese ramen and mini fried rice.
It's unclear whether this restaurant is related to Minamiya, a renowned Taiwanese ramen restaurant in Nagoya.
It seems to be related to the restaurants "Tiger's Gate" and "Shinbashi no Uetsen".
However, the Taiwanese ramen at this restaurant has a slightly weak broth, and it wasn’t particularly delicious.
I hope the meatballs will bring out more of the delicious flavor from the soup.
Of course, it's not bad.
Mini fried rice… I've thought about it before, but it's basically eggs and rice fried simply with salt, without any pepper.
The taste is a bit lacking, and it has a greasy texture. It’s completely oily now.
In restaurants that serve continental cuisine, fried rice often has a somewhat unsatisfactory quality.
Ah, perhaps this is actually the standard in China.
Members who came to eat with them were unpopular.
However, I really want to praise this restaurant in Kamiya-cho for offering menu prices in the 800 yen range among Chinese restaurants.
It seems that they are in a situation where they really need to increase prices if they want to continue operating.
Next time, I won’t order a menu that includes noodles and mini fried rice. Instead, I’ll choose something that’s fried in a different way.
It seems that this approach might lead to a greater sense of satisfaction.

I was very busy with work in the morning, but somehow, I just wanted to eat Chinese food by myself for lunch.
After a long time, I decided to walk a little. As I walked, I finally entered Longsheng Garden after a long while.
Ryūsei En is a restaurant with a continental style.
The staff members are all Chinese nationals. Nowadays, Chinese people prefer to work in countries like Japan, where the salaries are lower, rather than in China itself.
Rather, it seems that this place serves as a destination for travelers, and the staff here work diligently.
The restaurant was crowded during lunchtime, resulting in a completely chaotic situation where everyone sat together.
I ordered dashi-nabe, because I saw someone diagonally ahead of me eating dashi-nabe. So, I decided to choose dashi-nabe with dashi-miso soup instead.
The set includes mini fried rice and almond tofu. The price is 980 yen.
But I regret it...
The knife-cut noodles are still not coming...
People who arrived after me were served food continuously.
Non-nori noodles or stir-fried dishes in set meals. It seems that these take less time to prepare.
After waiting for over 10 minutes, I felt increasingly lonely.
Perhaps that madam has forgotten to process my order...
No, that shouldn’t be the case.
And after waiting for about 15 minutes, finally, the knife-cooked ramen set was served.
I did nothing but focus intently on the dango ramen.
Umm, not much grilling here, but it's quite decent.
The noodles feel more like kishimen than being a traditional knife-cut style.
Rather, this might be evidence of skilled cutting skills.
But perhaps it's a matter of taste, but overall, it was a rather dull drink.
The chaat also lacks sufficient flavor.
Apricot tofu has a much weaker flavor.
And by the time I realized it, my short-sleeve shirt was covered in soup from the tangy noodles.
Dirty bread...
What to do, there's a visitor coming at 7 p.m....
I was hot, yet I had to wear a jacket properly in order to hide any stains.
Umm... I guess the Chen Restaurant in Kamiyama-cho is definitely the best there.

2023/7, recently I have been facing some difficulties.
It seems that all the office workers have returned to Kamiya-cho completely.
I am one of those people as well.
Anyway, even eating lunch is a huge hassle.
When I went to the convenience store on the building, there was a long queue at the counter.
Even though there's a self-checkout, it's hard to have the will to buy here.
In the heat, I wanted to eat something substantial. So I walked across the main street and entered this restaurant located in a back alley.
Previously, I had ordered knife-cut noodles, and I thought their quality was quite good.
In Kamiya-cho, there is only one restaurant that serves knife-noodles. It’s a truly valuable place to be.
The convenience store was extremely crowded, but this restaurant managed to have a single empty table even despite the high demand. As a result, I could enter without having to wait in line for long.
I ordered a set consisting of five-course soba and mini chapati for 900 yen, rather than dashi noodles.
As a restaurant specializing in continental cuisine, it might seem a bit expensive, but...
It's a ridiculous situation in Kamiya-cho to have high prices and yet lunch costs only around 1,000 yen.
A reasonable menu.
The food was served about 5 minutes after the order was placed, and it came out quickly.
Firstly, the five-course soba features a generous amount of large shrimp and vegetables, making it a luxurious dish.
The taste was a bit weak, and it didn’t seem very appealing at first glance, but it’s within an acceptable range.
The chaat is light in flavor, with a subtle taste of eggs and soup.
All types of noodles were included, so they were probably prepared in advance and left waiting.
It was warm, and it wasn't bad.
The almond tofu is also smooth and creamy. This place is really a standout.
Yes, it's clear from the desserts placed on the side of the continental-style restaurant that they are putting a lot effort into their offerings.
Restaurants that cut corners just because they consider something trivial, often end up doing wrong things in various aspects.
Considering it this way, I think this restaurant is well-run.
The five-meat soba was not bad, but this restaurant might still recommend spicy noodles or set meals.
By the way, there was something that surprised me.
There was a woman sitting alone in front of the counter. She seemed to be an office lady.
In this restaurant, everyone sits at four-person tables together. There are no partitions anymore, so it’s easy to see who is sitting with whom.
Rather than her boldly dressed appearance, it was her behavior during the crowded lunchtime that made people notice—when she smoked electronic cigarettes.
There are also ash trays.
Yes, that's right. Smoking is allowed there.
There was hardly any smoke, and the smell didn’t bother me either. But I wondered why there were no rules regarding smoke levels at all. That seemed strange.
It's really good that we can enjoy this place without smoking.

Day of work in Kamiyama-cho. I finished the busy morning in a hurry, but I decided to go out for lunch.
In May 2022, the streets began to fill with life, and the atmosphere was completely reminiscent of before the pandemic.
Thanks to that, there was a long queue at the restaurant.
It was already around 12:30, and I was getting anxious. So, I decided to try going to a restaurant that I had never been to before, a restaurant specializing in continental cuisine.
This restaurant is located near the Kamiya-machi Station. It’s a typical continental-style restaurant that has been growing in popularity over the past few years.
Lunchtime prices range from 850 yen to 1,100 yen.
Compared to the suburbs, the prices are higher, but in Kamiya-cho, they are reasonable.
I hesitated between making a stir-fry dish or ordering dango noodles. But with dango noodles available, I just couldn't resist eating them.
Although I was hesitant, I ordered the Danjang Dodeome for 950 yen.
By the way, the tangy noodles cost 850 yen.
The food arrived about 5 minutes after the order was placed. It was very fast.
This ramen with a Japanese sword-shaped chopstick comes with mini fried rice, zai sai, and almond tofu as additional toppings.
The soup for the tangy knife noodle is also prepared with sesame sauce, and it's quite delicious.
It seems that instead of green leafy vegetables, it was watercress or lettuce used. This was probably done to reduce costs.
The noodles are quite good. The thick and satisfying noodles are to my liking.
The mini charahan were probably prepared in advance, as they were included with all the noodle dishes.
It was just egg-based chaat, but it was quite tasty.
The almond tofu also didn’t have much flavor; even without it, it was fine.
Well, considering only the dango noodles, it seemed like a decent place to try out.
The restaurant itself is spacious, and during lunchtime, it’s always full.
There are also proper partitions, and the staff members are very professional.
What caught my attention was that a slender, young and cute girl worked in her casual clothes, not wearing a uniform.
Perhaps I happened to be able to provide some assistance?
And even so, all the Chinese girls have become extremely fashionable and cute.
30年前くらいにテレビで見たあどけない田舎娘という雰囲気もなく、
I thought that just that much has changed in China.
