Located in a quaint part of Gion, Kyoto, “Kyoyaki Nikutai Hōzōji” is a place where you can truly experience the essence of Kyoto's aesthetics. As soon as you step through the entrance, you are immersed in a refined atmosphere reminiscent of Kyoto's traditional houses. The interior is illuminated with a calm light, creating an atmosphere that is both elegant and reminiscent of a teahouse. This place is perfect for special occasions or dinners with loved ones.
Well, the menu item I ordered this time is a premium black beef yakitori course. As you can see in the photo, the meat is beautifully presented with a nice marbled pattern. The first dish served was “Yakitori of Wagyu Beef Sirloin”. When it was grilled right in front of my eyes, the fat melted away, and a fragrant aroma spread throughout the room. The recommended cooking level is Medium-rare. Taking a bite, I felt a creamy texture that melted in my mouth. Combined with the rich yolks, it was a luxurious experience, as if I were enjoying an exquisite sukiyaki.
Next was the "Kyoto-style Shabu-yaki". As shown in the photo, it consists of thinly sliced beef that has been lightly grilled. Each bite reveals a rich umami flavor, a characteristic of high-quality beef. Combined with crisp vegetables, it leaves a refreshing aftertaste. It pairs perfectly with specially prepared ponzu sauce or sesame dressing, allowing you to enjoy a variety of flavors with each bite.
Additionally, the menu includes popular items like "Special Selection Karyabibi" and "Shou Rōsu". When grilled over charcoal fire, the meat develops a rich aroma, and the natural sweetness of the meat becomes more pronounced. The sauce for the karyabibi also features an excellent balance between sweet and spicy flavors, making it a perfect match with rice. They also offer suggestions regarding the degree of grilling and seasoning, so even beginners can enjoy the experience without any worries.
The "Lemon Cold Noodles" served between the steaks were also outstanding. As shown in the photo, the soup is transparent, with a refreshing lemon aroma wafting through the air. The thin noodles blend well with the soup, effectively removing the greasiness from the steaks. It’s the perfect dish to finish after enjoying the steaks.
And, the final dessert is “Citrus Panna Cotta”. It features orange pulp and walnuts as toppings. The combination with the rich panna cotta is absolutely perfect. The balance between sweetness and acidity is excellent, making it an ideal dessert after a meal.
“京やきにく 弘八坂邸”並非普通的烤肉店,而是将和风之美与工匠技艺完美融合的顶级美食体验场所。虽然给人一种高级感,但氛围却十分轻松愉快,对于希望在京都享受最高品质烤肉的人来说,绝对是值得一游的名店。
