Today, we visited "Takka Tsun Tanaka, Shinkan Branch", which is located not far from Shinkan Station.
This is a restaurant located on the main street. It doesn’t belong to an area with many other restaurants nearby, so the exterior, with its warm lanterns lighting up the entrance, was quite striking.
Upon entering the restaurant, one is greeted by a bright and lively atmosphere. Compared to other takkaku restaurants, it seems that due to the local characteristics of this place, there are also tables where mothers and their children gather together.
There are many tables available, but there are also counter seats. It seemed that customers coming alone or with just 1 or 2 people were often directed to the counters.
A casual and comfortable atmosphere, where anyone who visits can enjoy themselves without any tension or pressure.
First, I ordered the "Yakisoba" that represents this restaurant. Steaks of beef and chicken, as well as vegetables, are fried one after another. These dishes appear before us covered in crisply fried noodles. By immersing these hot skewers in a sauce that prohibits double dipping, our appetite naturally increases. There is a wide variety of skewers available, which is also one of the attractions. Since it's summer, there are also skewers with corn and other items that are easy for children to eat. I thought this is a restaurant that offers enjoyment for both adults and children.
And what stood out this time was the “Infinite Garlic Hormone Sticks”. This popular product has already surpassed 1 million units sold in just two weeks since its launch. When you take a bite, the unique texture and aroma of hormones are immediately felt, along with the strong presence of garlic. The small size makes them easy to consume, and it’s hard not to reach for the next stick. With a price of only 50 yen per stick, it’s definitely a product worth trying out.
The side dishes are also very comprehensive. The "Miso Yuburi" provides a refreshing taste that perfectly complements the meal. The "Tanaka’s Meat Tofu" features a rich broth that infuses the tofu and meat, creating a balanced flavor. Additionally, the "Broth-Wrapped Eggs" have a unique preparation method where a small frying pan and egg mixture are brought to the table, allowing diners to experience the process of baking them themselves. When dining as a group, it can be quite lively as everyone competes to bake their dishes. This dish is truly memorable not just for its deliciousness, but also for the experience it brings.
As a rather unusual menu item, we chose a dish named "Toro Gari Taku". The combination of softly prepared fish fat and seasonings is unique. It offers a dining experience that differs from traditional fried dishes. Additionally, after the meal, we ordered "Soft Ice Cream (Mascot Flavor)". Its refreshing sweetness helped to reset our taste buds, making it perfect as a finish to a meal centered around fried foods.
And what makes this restaurant unique is its playful spirit, embodied in the concept of “Chin-Chiro”. By flipping a dice, you can determine the size and price of your drink. People are visibly excited or frustrated based on the results of the dice roll. This isn’t just about enjoying food; it’s also about having a game-like experience that makes this restaurant so popular among many people.
Taste the skewers, bite into the sides, and enjoy with a dice. There is a place where you can easily enjoy such moments. With a variety of dishes and experiences available, it feels like a great place to gather with friends who share the same interests, or as a casual spot for a single person to stop by. It's a comfortable place to spend time.
