This time, it's a tour of different countries' cuisines.
I went to a Indonesian restaurant called “Warn Kaki Lima”.
They use terms like "café" and "stall" to describe these places, suggesting that they are restaurants that are familiar and well-liked by the local people.
And yet, the Indonesian staff members are very proficient in Japanese. There are also Japanese staff members on board, making it easy and comfortable for Japanese people to join and interact in a friendly atmosphere.
The location is close to Meiping Station. It’s easily accessible by foot, and it’s also possible to reach it by car. It’s also close to the center of Toyoda, so it’s a great place to stop whenever you need to. There’s even a supermarket nearby, so you can stop there while doing some shopping. It’s a really convenient place to stay.
The menu features familiar dishes like nashi goreng and mie goreng, as well as some rare delicacies. There’s also a wide variety of desserts and drinks to choose from, making it a great place to enjoy different flavors.
Due to hesitation, I chose "Nash Pandaan"—a meal that offers a variety of items for 1,540 yen including tax.

It was like that.
As part of the opening service, I was able to enjoy tea from Indonesia called Te Manis.
◎ The cooking and taste… in terms of production, flavor, variety of side dishes, there’s no sense of artificiality. It has a homey and simple charm. I really liked it. It was delicious!
・ルンダン
The dish has been selected as one of the world's most delicious meals.
The flavor of the sauce is not very strong, yet it allows you to truly appreciate the meat itself. It has a rich umami taste, and the spicy flavor that lingers in the mouth is quite noticeable.
・ジャックフルーツ
It looks like a coconut curry with jackfruit as the main ingredient. Even though the flavor isn’t very strong, it still has a strong spicy taste. Jackfruit feels more like a vegetable rather than a fruit, and it tastes delicious.
・茹で卵
Steamed eggs topped with something resembling a chili sauce (sambal).
This sauce pairs well with eggs.
It also goes well when eaten together with rice.
・소의 폐
I ate this for the first time. I've never had anything like this at any other restaurant.
The taste and texture of the food make it clear that it belongs to the hormone category. It has a crunchy or fluffy texture, you know?
The taste has no distinctive characteristics; it's quite ordinary, probably reminiscent of beef.
・サンバル
Blue? Green? Seasonings. Compared to its appearance, it was surprisingly spicy and had a strong oily taste.
This is even more delicious. It goes well with meat, and it also goes well with rice.
・ライス
It seems like Japanese rice. There are several bowls, with each serving about one cup. Since the side dishes are delicious, the rice is also eaten easily.
・テ・マニス
It tasted like sweet red tea. People in Indonesia tend to prefer drinks that are sweet, so it was quite sweet.
Since I usually don’t drink much of this kind of drink, this was a great opportunity to try it. This one is also delicious.
〇サービス…ご家族経営で、みなさん親切でした。料理のことや色々なことを教えてくれたり、声をかけてくれたり、本当に優しかったです。
〇Atmosphere... There are counters and seating areas. There are many seating areas, so you can relax and enjoy your meal comfortably.
It seemed like a place where one could use the facilities without any hesitation.
〇コスパは良いですね…ディナーでも、主食とご飯がセットになったものなら1,300円程度で手頃です。ナシゴレンやミーゴレンなどのシンプルなメニューなら1,000円前後です。コスパは悪くありません。
〇総合的に見て…味は良く、接客も素晴らしく、本格的なインド料理を楽しむことができました。とても良い場所でした。
Not only those who enjoy Asian ethnic cuisine, but also those who don't, will find this place to be a delicious destination for dining.
